“I worked with Dr. Collins over a three month period as she helped me navigate how my recently diagnosed autism (at age 70, no less) had damaged my relationship with my wife, and how late interventions can help reverse some of that damage. She offers holistic advice, using well-known psychiatric methods together with others that are geared to the specific needs and characteristics of the patient. I greatly appreciated that. I also appreciated how her methods motivated me to do be ready for her advice, and to implement it.”

“I had my first visit with Wayfinder Psychiatric Wellness a few days ago, though I had been in contact ongoing for a couple months ahead. I was really impressed with the speed of return emails, the simplicity of online paperwork type stuff, and the fact that I don’t have to do everything over the phone. I don’t like phone calls. My first visit was wonderful, aside from a little confusion finding the office( which is kind of tucked away in a corner). Dr. Collins is down to earth, friendly, and approachable. I liked that she listened to my input on my care and challenged some things I suggested- I respect a provider who listens but doesn’t just let me dictate everything we do with my meds. She took into account everything I said, and we came to a really logical, safe sounding decision on my treatment plan that I feel confident trying out. She was warm and kind and funny, easy to talk to, a lot of psych providers are very bland- Dr. Collins is not bland, and I love it. I felt safe and respected and honestly understood. It is truly difficult to find a provider who understands the things that go into being autistic and ADHD. She was also very respectful of my service dog, and had no issue with her coming to the appointment. The office is nice and calm, sensory friendly without those horrible florescent lights that make the noise nobody else ever seems to hear, but that makes me insane. It’s comfortable to be there for someone with sensory issues. She coordinated very well with my PCP and was happy to collaborate with other providers as needed, due to insurance issues. This is very helpful for me. My PCP described her as “your new mental health provider sure seems chill”. Yes, she is. All in all, I had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this provider for anyone who needs med management or mental healthcare. I could not be happier, and I feel safe and like my most important bit of healthcare (my sanity, honestly) is in excellent hands. Do I wish she was closer? Yes. But she’s worth a stressful 35-40 minute drive, 100 percent. You won’t go wrong with this provider.”
