“I want to start by saying that I really enjoyed working with my provider, she was great and truly listened to me. My concern is not with her, but with how my termination from services was handled. I completely understand and take responsibility for the fact that I had several missed and canceled appointments. I’m not offering excuses, I simply have a busy life, a demanding job, and ongoing struggles with my mental health. I also understand the importance of having a termination policy for multiple no-shows or cancellations. What I’m frustrated about is the lack of communication. I was never warned that I was approaching the limit or at risk of termination. One day, I called to request a refill and reschedule; I left a voicemail. My refills were sent in, but no appointment was scheduled. When I called back to set one up, I was told I could no longer be seen. There was no phone call, email, text, or letter notifying me that I had been terminated. All I ask is that communication be improved moving forward.
