How likely are you to recommend Veda House Psychiatry and Wellness Center?
What patients say on Google
“Amanda really helped me. I'm so, so, so appreciative of how much she has cared and helped me start finding new balance and clarity. She is such a great person to have on your team. Veda House has such a comforting and almost spa-like feel. I definitely feel so lucky to have them so close. - Highly recommend!!!”
“I definitely would not recommend Amanda at vada house! She's motivated by money not your well-being. Treatment involved requiring me to take a medication (that didn't work in the past but just to appease her and to move forward with treatment I agreed to try it. She knew my insurance wouldn't cover this medication and I couldn't afford the tier 4 copay once her samples ran out. She swore that she would be able to continue providing samples but did not. She slowly titrated my ketamine doses requiring frequent appointments (costing more than $150 dollars each time not covered by insurance) she often refused to adjust dosages, instead telling me to "keep trying" at the same dose from the month prior. She could have said that on the phone but she wanted me to have to pay for a visit fee so she would bring me in under the guys that she was about to increase my dose only to tell me she wasn't. She also would not refill the medication even at the previous dose without an appointment. She made changes to doses without notifying me which created problems at the pharmacy and she never apologized or made any effort to recognize that she did this. She provided little actual oversight or therapy other than to require appointments to tell me the same thing over and over again which I'm assuming she probably did so that she could ever record of seeing me but in those appointments we did nothing of value. She knew from day ONE that it was going to be a financial burden for me to cover this care out of pocket & she told me from that first phone call that she was willing to work with me which included allowing me to make payments (something I would have been completely able to do but I couldn't afford $950 up front at one time) I gave her my credit card with the understanding that she would only be deducting the agreed upon amount each month. Instead, she charged hundreds of dollars to my card and acted like we hadn't had the discussion both on the phone and in writing. This created difficulty because I really needed the care and I would have never initiated it if it hadn't been for that agreement to start with. It was basically just a big money grab by an unscrupulous provider in a medically gray area with little oversight. Over the course of several months I paid her thousand dollars with no benefit only more angst. I have documentation to back all of these claims.”
“Highly recommended!! I work with Chivon at Veda House and I recommend her to everyone. From the initial call to find a PNP, it was between Veda House and a different facility. When I spoke with the receptionist, she was welcoming and kind (even over the phone), and answered all my questions which was not the vibe of the other facility. The location is lovely and beautifully yet mindfully decorated, it feels like a spa for your mental health. Chivon has helped me with my OCD in leaps and bounds. She is very gentle and understanding and as a person working through OCD along with anxiety and fears, she eased my worries about starting a new medication which has been life changing in the best way. I am comfortable and able to be honest with her and I don’t feel judged or shameful. If I could give Veda House 10 stars, I would.”
“Our experience with this provider was disappointing. She arrived late to our initial appointment and then, in front of an intern, asked whether we were comfortable having the intern present, which felt awkward and unprofessional. The session itself seemed unprepared and lacked direction. For a $375 appointment, nothing offered felt meaningful or helpful, and we left certain that we did not wish to continue care.”
