How likely are you to recommend UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor?
What patients say on Google
“This place is horrible at getting back to you. They called in the wrong meds to the pharmacy to be filled and a week later we are still trying to get a hold of them. They NEVER answer the phone. They treat you like having mental health struggles is a crime. Need more compassionate staff. Adding to this review. After I left the review the other day someone finally reached out to my husband minutes of me leaving a negative review. But unfortunately said the doctor was gone for the day and would be resolved the following day. Still waiting on that medicine to be called in. Time to look for a new doctor. Everyone should do the same.😡”
“My daughter is currently a patient here. Absolutely horrible communication. She is 18+, so she makes her own doctor appointments. They have called me, despite she and I both telling them numerous times to call her, not me. She received 2 letters in the mail this week, stating that they have been trying to get ahold of her to make an appointment- they have not once called her. She has called, left messages, and not received a call back.”
“I was kind of reluctant to go here given the reviews. However, everyone here has always been so nice and friendly, from the receptionist, to the nurses who take my vitals to Morgan, the PA I see. Morgan is the only one whose name I remember, and she is absolutely incredible! She is so nice and you can tell she really wants to help you get back on track. If you need help, I absolutely recommend this place.. Go, get help, get better, this is definitely the place to go! Edit: I think this is also where Paige, the provider I saw when I was in the CRU sees office patients. She is also absolutely incredible! They do have some amazing, highly trained professionals! Don't judge the entire office by some who have not been kind - they do have providers that really do care here. I didnt tell Morgan (of course), but i had definitely planned to end things before 2026 got here. Now, I have hope that things will actually get better - something I gave up on a long time ago! She really does care, she really, really wants to help. Her compassion and willingness to fight for me has given me the strength I needed to keep going when I had given up and just couldn't do it anymore!”
“Avoid Elzbieta Szymkow, she is rude, disrespectful and not helpful! I haven't seen other psychiatrists here but I imagine the others arent any better. They must not want clients to return the way they mistreat them and make them afraid to come back.”
