How likely are you to recommend UnityPoint Health - Meriter - Child & Adolescent Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“I just got discharged last night , and I loved it there if you are willing to get help ,meriter is by far The best place to go . The only thing they should work on is de-escalation. Instead of threatening to discharge u and send u somewhere else. The food is great . the activity are fun. Send your kids here”
“I got discharged like an hour ago this place lowk wasnt bad wasnt good. The food is mid. The rooms are boring. There's basically nothing fun to do besides art and school. But the staff are nice so thats a plus. (Shout out to Jaden and emily) (unshout out to Jamie (ur mean)”
“Absolutely amazing hospital. I've been here twice and it's nothing but positive times there. Both times I was there they had therapy dogs, and it was so nice to interact with them. Those therapy dogs always made my day better. I did not experience any violent patients and that made my stay so much better, honestly. They have a dedicated time for schoolwork and art, and both times are amazing. They even have movie nights! This hospital is amazing. 10/10.”
“This facility claims to support people in mental health crisis but fails to do so. Staff respond to emotional distress with threats of discharge instead of de-escalation or support, which is deeply concerning for a mental hospital. There are also serious professionalism issues, including poor communication, deadnaming, lack of respect, understanding, and failure to return personal belongings after repeated requests. Overall, this is not a safe or supportive environment for people seeking real mental health care.”
