“First appointment, she had her children running around and stopping to look at her screen during session. Not only is it objectively unethical and a concern regarding patient confidentiality, but it was uncomfortable for me as a first time patient doing my intake appointment. She showed up late to our second virtual appointment as well. There was also a serious disconnect between her and her receptionist. My email was written down incorrectly so no information was shared and there were major miscommunications about my insurance at both appointments. I sent an email terminating my care. In the transition period between psychiatrists, I developed a medical concern that Torie warned me about and told me to call if it appeared. I called after hours in a panic. Even though I terminated my care (with no response to my email of course), I was still expecting some kind of follow up call to make sure I was okay or to clear up any concerns. Overall, an upsetting and complicated experience.”
