How likely are you to recommend UAB St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Clinic?
What patients say on Google
“They said I’d get out Friday and held me until the following Tuesday. Monday prior I asked for my patient rights because they refused to discharge me. They refused to give me them to me - so I asked for a patient advocate and then met the director, and she got me out the next morning. There is very little therapy or treatment available other than managing meds.”
“Absolutely terrible !! The nurses have been sweet but they alter so much and communication seems to be a bit absent from one shift to the next. We have been begging to speak to the doctor for a week now to provide us with details needed as it pertains to her area of expertise and next steps and still nothing . Hadn’t been able to get in touch with the social worker for the past 3 days now. It seems like everyone is just kind of going through the motion with no sense of urgency on meeting the needs of the patients family . Next step is to transfer to a unit at another hospital!!!!!!”
“I see Dr. Perry in the outpatient clinic. She is good, but her appointments only last 15 minutes. Most of the time that is not long enough for me. I usually need 30 minutes. That’s what most doctors do.”
“This is worst place for someone to go. My wife was wrongfully placed in psych ward after being medically cleared by several doctors! She wasn’t aloud to leave her bed unless she called a nurse, she was told she was not aloud to order any food, The nurses never came to check on her, I guess because she had a sitter they felt they didn’t need to check on her. They also didn’t give the sitter the breaks like he was supposed to have. At one point he asked for a 5 min break to use the bathroom and one nurse said “well you’re about to be off the clock”. This is a place where people are supposed to go to get help and feel safe and this place did the exact opposite. Not to mention the doctor won’t even listen to what my wife has to say! I have never seen such terrible care in my life. It’s sad this is how people treated. Definitely recommend everyone stays as far away from this place as possible!”
