How likely are you to recommend UAB Department of Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“Dr. Bozman is such an asset to UAB and is an exceptional doctor. He is compassionate, attentive, and has truly taken the time to listen and understand. I felt respected and supported in my treatment. His care has made a huge difference in my life. Truly change my life! I cannot recommend him enough.”
“Would give a zero if I could. Save yourself the added trauma and money and find a better practice. The Nurse Jessica is one of the main reasons I left. After a recent interaction with her, it reminded me of why I’ve stayed far away. Over worked staff no one cares, go find real help if you need it.”
“Giving this a 2 purely because I respect the actual doctor/practitioner I see at this place. Low rating is entirely based on how horrible the people over the phone handle prescriptions and communication. Getting refills from Sparks is like pulling teeth, every single time. At the moment, I have been off of two different medicines for over two weeks now. I have called Sparks three times with no one answering the phone and I have left messages. I have even gone into the office in person to request refills on my prescriptions, and I STILL have not been able to get a refill. I've been dealing with withdrawals and no one there seems to really care or do anything about it. Any other establishment would have been out of business by now. This place is lucky its attached to UAB. Just to reiterate, I do like the care I receive from my caretaker when I can see or talk to them, its just extremely difficult to do so. You can tell this place is desensitized to its patients and your time will not be respected.”
“The address listed on the Google page is incorrect. My GPS took me to the listed address- I called the clinic for assistance. The front desk didn’t even know the directions and gave me a completely different address than the one listed. The UAB psychiatry Sparks clinic address is 1713 6th Avenue. Luckily, I am being seen for very mild symptoms. If someone with a severe diagnosis had run into a directional issue due to the incorrect information, this could have been a real problem. I will be filing a complaint with the hospital. The staff themselves at the Sparks clinic are very sweet- communication from hospital management is inadequate at best.”
