What patients say on Google
“I want to shout out to Karen, Steve, John, Trevor and Josh for being absolutely amazing during my time there. I can say I had the best food when I was there. They take very good care of you. There are things I would implement in this facility. Such as a small work out center, not free weights for safety reasons, but maybe a treadmill and a weight lifting machine for those that need to improve mental and physical help. More outdoor time and honestly, although not a smoker, but maybe allowing people to smoke, as we do live in the real world. Nicotine gum is provided but is a half measure. I loved the unlimited showers, fresh clean clothes and fresh blankets, even warm. Also, maybe separating people who are extremely mentally unstable vs those who need less help. I love your staff, they are a huge part of making it through the 5 days I was there which was hard enough against my will. I personally thank all of you at Trinity health. So kind and generous. I love the outdoor space with basketballs and Frisbees to play with along with movie time. I can't express enough how important it is to allow some form of exercise in this facility. It helps especially when you have to sleep and you wake up to every key and room check which your staff is amazing at. Thank you again and God bless. You have a great RN team here ! Also shout out to the doctors!”
“GREAT nurses and staff, AWFUL upper management. They don’t truly care for their staff OR patients, only what can benefit them. Sad to see a mental health facility that was renovated with such a low rating, must mean management within HBH hasn’t changed, what a pity. The staff, patients AND the community deserve so much better.”
“Trinity Health should be absolutely disgusted the way they treat patients at Hackley Behavioral Health. The suffering I endured at Hackley will forever be ingrained into my brain. I suffered physical abuse, psychological manipulation, verbal abuse, physical neglect, and emotional abuse while at Hackley under the care of LaBrenda B (manager). I encountered all of this while being a patient under Trinity Health’s care. I would never suggest this location to anyone for mental health inpatient services. They take advantage of patients when they are at their most vulnerable state - a crisis. The medical staff is Trinity Health and the Psychiatric providers are contracted out through Pine Rest. I feel so deeply for all still receiving inpatient services at Hackley. Several of my civil rights have been violated including person-centered planning and most importantly dignity and respect. As of today, I still have yet to hear from the recipients rights advisor from the Michigan Department of Health and Human resources after I have filed several recipients rights complaints. No one has ever sat down and talked with me regarding the civil rights violations I have experienced.”
“My experience was exceptional. The staff definitely had my best interests at heart. I appreciate the time and effort they put into my counseling and therapy. Thank you!”
