What patients say on Google

“Dr. Oday Alsarraf is a wonderful person and a great doctor. He took my 35-year son under his care when our previous doctor had to take a leave of absence. I was very worried about being able to find a doctor that could handle his needs. Not only did he see my son immediately but he put both of us at ease in the first 10 minutes we spent with him. Too frequently, the doctors do not speak directly to him as he is on the Autism Spectrum and struggles to communicate. Dr. Alsaraff spent a good deal of time talking to him and he is now not anxious about going to see him. Dr. Alsarraf has a very calm, pleasant and patient personality and, to me, that is the most critical issue. I know he knows his job and is a good psychiatrist but the gift of 'good bedside manner' is all too seldom seen these days. I appreciate him and his office staff, Susan and Beth, who have all been very kind, understanding and professional. Kathy S and Stephan”

“Dr. Alsarraf is an incredible psychiatrist in so many ways! He is very knowledgable about current treatments options. He really listens and has such a calming demeanor. Also, he is very thorough in working out the best possible treatment options. I would also like to add that his receptionists, Beth and Susan, are kind and always make sure things get done in a timely manner. I recently had an insurance denial despite the fact I had been on that particular medication for many years. This practice got all of my paperwork together and Dr. Alsaraff personally made a call to the insurance company to solve the issue. I am so impressed with Dr. Alsaraff and this practice as a whole.”

“When my last provider's practice closed, I found myself in need of a new provider with very little notice. Susan at Triangle Mental Health made the process so easy. She was very quick to get me all the new patient paperwork and set up an appointment. Scheduling has been easy, the office has a welcoming atmosphere, and so far I really like my provider.”
Michelle Overington
“Met with Dr. Oday Alsarraf twice and both times his strong social bias was disruptive to our session and me forming trust in him as a psychiatrist. His hyper-performative way of speaking softly and keeping a neutral facial expression is betrayed by the pointed statements and erroneous conclusions he quickly forms with very limited information. I didn't feel emotionally safe opening up to him and the bits that I did share with him, I quickly regretted. His paradigm is too traditional to accept specific social dysfunctions such as; nuanced racism towards women of color. I've been no-contact with my mother for over 10 years and without knowing any details of the relationship he told me that he would require me to call my mother at some point in our therapy. This was DEFINITELY one of the worst experiences I've had with a mental health provider.”
