How likely are you to recommend Todd I Muneses, MD?
What patients say on Google
“I don’t know why someone would give Dr. Muneses a negative review. He was my Doctor for almost 15 years until I recently moved to Florida, and I can still contact him until I find a new Psychiatrist. He is a great listener, always polite, and never refused to help me.”
“We would not recommend Dr. Muneses. An appointment was made to receive a formal diagnosis, receive a therapist recommendation and build upon an already stable foundation of treatment. None of the goals were met after about 18 to 24 months of care. In fact, his abrupt and wrong conclusions lead to harming the patient and his family. What he did stole years of their life! The patient waited a year for an appointment. They were given 20 minutes in which he removed all the medicines that had worked wonderfully for the previous 2 years. Although I protested this change while at the appointment and shared exactly why, I was told "we could always" change them back to the medicine. This was a complete lie! Dr.Muneses destabilized the patient and then refused to authorize the medicine they needed. The reason? Because they needed to be stabilized first. It was a complete nightmare dealing with him and the office staff. We would schedule an appointment with a nurse and they would call the day of and cancel over and over. We would schedule an appointment 7 months out for the Dr and then receive a call he was going away and we needed to reschedule. I was told several times that they would have appointments closer together but this was a lie too. I was told it was completely normal practice to have zero support while waiting another 7 months for a 20 minute rushed visit. After nurse appointments being cancelled repeatedly (needed to make any changes to medicine) I was told by their staff to call the police on the patient or have them committed if they increased instability. What??? Instead of fix the issue they created! No accountability. One staff member returned my call only to hang up on me because I cried while discussing the situation. They told me to call back when I wasn't crying. You could hear me. I wasn't unable to be understood. Why was hanging up on me necessary? They didn't want to solve problems that arose or accept that the abrupt medicine change was an issue. I questioned if the staff calling the patient back had any training in mental health. Their prejudice and ignorance shined through the phone conversations. Once I was told the patient was likely on drugs and it wasn't the medicine change. This was untrue. Some people are highly sensitive to medicine changes. Especially those on the autism spectrum. In our case, once the patient was destabilized it became difficult for them to recognize they needed to find another Doctor and fix the medicine change. It was beyond heartbreaking what happened. It is easier to stay stable than it is to rebuild after a patient is completely destabilized. Dr Muneses' incorrect diagnosis and wrong treatment plan harmed the patient and their family in a life altering way. His treatment error and refusal to help correct the mental health crisis he created was detrimental to the patient. This review can not adequately describe how much he harmed my loved one and refused to help. Partly the system of Wellspan and partly his ego! Patient Beware!”
“Hey I talked to the Dr. about some serious stuff and he was more friendly and knowledgeable about everything I needed and I'm in bad shape at least physically from pain. He's an excellent listener and will make you feel comfortable unlike so many others. I don't know about the 1 star but it's so complicated just to read this I can't imagine it's a normal patient!!!! So crazy trying to read about 4 paragraphs about WHAT???? He's fine in my book and psychiatry is about the Hardest discipline to understand let alone help people IMO!”
“Love him been a patient for 20 years.”
