How likely are you to recommend Todd Clements MD Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“Dr. Clements has been the most consistent Psychiatrist my family and I have ever had. We are thankful for his undivided care that he has given us the past two years. For caring enough to check on us after the tornado took our cars and part of our home. Dr. Clements you are a wonderful and humble doctor; I pray you are blessed 10 fold for all that you do for the community. I couldn't fail to leave out his amazing coordinator who's work load never ends I am. sure. (Because this is what I do for a living too) She is always so patient and so kind with us. She never gets short tempered like many we have dealt with in the past do. Great people!!! Highly recommended by the Carter's!”
“I saw Dr Clements as well as my wife Kathryn. We are very fortunate that Kathryn did not die due to the reckless and cavalier actions of Dr Todd Clements. After he totally messed up her case, when confronted with the facts on a phone call between Todd and me, he abandoned my wife’s care. I had to admit her to the Zale Lipshy hospital in Dallas. She was inpatient for almost a month to Rescue her from Dr Clements incompetence. I was relieved when he had lost his license but. Am confused how he is practicing medicine again.”
“I was recommended Dr. Clements by a family member. In my first appointment in Summer of 2023 he not only disclosed medical information about another client, whom I recognized because she is a personal friend (information the doctor did not know), but made me incredibly uncomfortable by continuously staring at my chest. This only continued when I told Dr. Clements of my summer plans at a camp in Upstate New York when he made the comment that I would be working with "all of those bratty Jewish kids". For some context, I myself am Jewish. I have never been made so uncomfortable in a medical environment. This is not acceptable behavior for someone working in the medical field, much less the mental health field. I held off on making this review until I could find a different psychiatrist to refill my prescription as there are very few in Jonesboro.”
“Dr. Clements was more concerned with protecting his license than he was about treating my debilitating and potentially deadly depression and severe anxiety. The doctor stated that he doesn't want to "take the risk" of prescribing controlled substances, including benzodiazepines (which are C-IV, the lowest level of controlled substances). Those are by far the most effective meds for the short-term relief of anxiety, and the only med that will stop a panic attack. In my opinion, if a doctor is too timid to use safe and effective medications when indicated--to the detriment of her or his patients--especially when those medications are the most efficacious pharmacological treatment, that physician may want to consider a different line of work. I was at risk of dying from suicide because my anxiety was so unbearable and my depression was so deep! I only saw Dr. Clements thrice, and won't be back. By the Grace of my Father God, I found a different psychiatrist who has been able to treat my mental illness very effectively! My depression is gone and my anxiety is under control. I'm able to leave my house without difficulty, answer my door when someone knocks, go to work every day, and function better than I have in years, thanks to a fantastic physician with their empathy, compassion, and world-class expertise! When I told my new psychiatrist about my experience with Dr. Clements, my new doc was flabbergasted! They couldn't believe a doctor would use any excuse to justify not writing effective medications for my anxiety. Although my new doctor is very conservative when it comes to controlled drugs, they understand that it's safe and effective to use medications like benzodiazepines for a short period of time (in patients with no history of drug addiction) until other medications with no potential for abuse or addiction have the time they need to fully work. Dr Clements may be great at treating other mental illnesses and disorders, but he gets an "F" from me for treating crippling anxiety. --L., 20yr+ Registered Nurse”
