“I had a terrible experience with Thriveworks online. I did an intake with one young therapist, she immediately referred me to another therapist. Said I wouldn’t have to do an intake again. Now here is where I have a real problem - instead of a human taking the time to match me with someone they thought would fit my case, nope - it went back into the computer hopper and I was matched via computer key words to another therapist intern with 5 years of experience. She had made up her mind before the session started that she also couldn’t take my case. Before speaking to me or learning anything about me, she referred me to another therapist online IOP. This is NOT necessary. If anyone had taken the time to talk to me, if anyone had experience with chronic illness, they would understand my situation. But nope, not these people. And to make a person wait, to think they’re going to have a session to get help, during Christmas when things are going crazy, only to get slammed down again, not the best feeling in the world, both of the therapists I was assigned to were HORRIBLE. I understand I have a difficult case, these therapists were NOT equipped to take on my case, instead it became a case of hot potato - just refer down the line. Not the way care should be,”
