How likely are you to recommend Thorntree Psychiatric Associates?
What patients say on Google
“Dr Idell is the best doctor you can ask for as long as you are honest and fair. He always goes above and beyond to help you and he's very intelligent so you'll be in good hands. He respects his patients and he makes me feel as if my needs and ideas matter. Like I say, just keep it honest and fair and he will make you feel like you're respected and well looked after, even in emergencies.”
“I have been a patient here for about a decade probably a little more. Hands down they care about your mental health. I feel comfortable here, last Doctor I was seeing retired, it was heartbreaking (Dr. Sydney Kelt) He did set me up with one of the new psychiatrist he thought would fit me best a doctor who actually shadowed Dr. Kelt when in the room with us a few times… his name is Taylor Herzog. He is amazing, very understanding, very educated in his field of study also he is kind and doesn’t rush. I highly recommend him and Thorntree psychiatric in general . So for me Taylor Herzog is the one to go with. I have been to many doctors in my life and once I came here, I will NOT leave. This is my personal experience only. I give them glory for helping me live a stable life. The ladies in the office are also prompt at calling back checking messages etc. I have nothing negative to say.”
“Office visits are like everywhere else $35 per visit with insurance no quarrel there. But it’s the first place I’ve ever had to pay $30 for someone to fill a prescription between the next next visits which were three month increments. To me that feels like a money grab. We switched places where my daughter can be seen Without being charged for extra for filling a script. I think part of the doctor’s job to make sure the prescription goes to the right pharmacy. Not to mention when you’re dealing with controlled medicine , you’re the one that has to call pharmacies in order to find out which pharmacy carries the medicine you need for that month. I don’t have any beef with a staff, just a practicality of getting your medicine in a timely fashion, I have also had to ask the doctor to send it to another Pharmacy because they didn’t turn it in on time and I had to find another Pharmacy that had it.”
“If you can get in with Dr. Lucas, he truly is an amazing provider. My review is left because of the office policies and procedures. After my mom passed away, I felt the need to explore a relationship with a female psychiatrist. (I was very lost and distraught at the time). They allowed me to make that change as an exception and I realized after just a few appointments that I made a big mistake and wanted to go back to Dr. Lucas. I felt his care was a far better fit for me and I explained this to Renee at the front desk. It’s difficult to believe that the practice as a whole really cares about the patients after my latest experience and how it’s been handled. In order to get any medication and care I needed, I was told scheduling another appointment with the doctor I felt wasn’t a good fit for me, was my only option. After years with this practice, I’m saddened to have lost Dr. Lucas but everything happens for a reason and I’m thankful to have the opportunity to move on to a more caring facility.”
