“I've been a Wernert Center member for over three years. I think the place is great. There is always a staff member willing to help in case of an emergency. And the classes are very informative. I really enjoy the Art room and the Art teacher. I have a BA in Art and still find the projects we do suitable for experienced artists. Also when I first starting coming here, I did a lot in the exercise room. The fitness instructor is very knowledgeable and extremely nice. She gave me a journal so that I could write down the foods I ate from day to day to lose weight. I've used treadmill and the bicycle machines. Helped keep my weight down. I've also taken a Diabetes Support class, a Mindfulness group, and Women's group several times. I not only learned a lot but I had FUN. The Wernert Center has several fun events over the course of a year in their parking lot. That's one of the perks of being a member. If you out your "all" into it, you CAN recover.”

“If this is the very best this p[lace can do then it might as well close down. I have been getting no answer on the phone and had a very rude attitude issue given to me by one of the staff at the front desk. We can clearly see the mechanisms for why people do not go to these places. If you want my advice and to proclaim to want to help people with mental disorders and all else with it. How about I don't know not be rude and ignore phone calls. Quit passing on responsibilities to an already over burdened mental health system in this city. Second point I would love to point out as well. How about not cut some one off when they are trying to explain something to someone. I am far from impressed thus far. If you wish to change these bad practices then do not just say you will follow through. Follow through and be more respectful to people. You wonder why people do not come there in the first place even if it has expanded and funds had been used from most likely the Toledo city tax funds and county to have that expansion done. My suggestion is do not bother they clearly display no will or want to do anything for this community they claim to service when they give no service. This review is honest ad accurate as can get and no I will not apologize for being honest. If you want overall improved reviews do something about it and have some back bone instead of ignoring those in need. I would also suggest hiring new people in this place that want to do the work they had been paid for to do in the first place if not be upheld to account for the lack of doing the job most likely being paid out of the people of Toledo tax coffers.”

“Whomever is funding this place needs to stop, they are a disappointment to their clients (transportation dept) sucks and the communication is awful, our client looks forward to going and they disappoint all the time by never picking them up or even calling to let us know. ZERO stars”
