How likely are you to recommend The Wright Center For Community Health North Scranton?
What patients say on Google
“This place is terrible, these aren't real doctors they're students and their answering service is trash, refuses to connect you even when they leave a message to contact them back. Wants you to play phone tag when you are seeking medical help. Then they told me even when the answering service doesn't connect me they still get the messages. So they just leave me hanging and don't call me back. I don't go to the doctor until I'm really sick and need help and the times I have gone here they barely do anything to help and I end up staying sick for weeks. Go somewhere else.”
“This is not a good review. The operator will tell you, your get a call back from your location. More often do not receive call and it's in regards to refills. No call back no refills. Every now and again get a reminder of appointment. Not consistent. I called to verify my appointment after large snow storm. North Scranton told me I don't have a appointment. Yet I have a card. Going back to clarksummit where they know how things are done and they are amazing.”
“I called the clinic on the morning of 09/29/2025 concerning obvious swelling and distension in my right leg, which already has four blood clots. I was discharged from Geisinger only two days prior. I specifically reached out to ask for guidance on whether I should return to the ER for evaluation. Unfortunately, the nurse on the phone offered little help. Her response was essentially, “It’s up to you how to proceed. You have an appointment this week but haven’t been seen in nearly a year.” I found this dismissive and unhelpful given the seriousness of my symptoms. I did not expect a diagnosis over the phone, but I did expect some level of professional direction, reassurance, or at least a clear recommendation for next steps. Instead, I was left to make a decision without any true guidance from the nurse, which left me feel unsafe and unsupported. I believe the clinic would benefit from ensuring that phone staff are trained to handle urgent concerns with greater attentiveness, empathy, and clarity. Patients who are calling about potentially serious conditions should never feel brushed off. While I know that I will be seen on Thursday, medical professionals on the front line of communication should provide at least basic clinical direction or encourage immediate evaluation when symptoms could signal an emergency. She did neither of those.”
“My primary doctor retired the wright center took over his practice I went to them was sent for multiple tests told all was well then I get a call from a specialist told my doctor wanted me to be seen never given me the courtesy of giving me a heads up which turned out it was nothing to be overly concerned about. Was hospitalized upon discharge was supposed to get a call to go into the office. I missed the phone call when I called back after listening to the recorded message several times I had to leave a message-very chaotic”
