How likely are you to recommend The Positive Living Group - Mental Health and Behavioral Health Services?
What patients say on Google
“This place is amazing. I have been a long time client. I've been utilizing talk therapy and neurofeedback. Ashley is such a calming presence and such a sweet person. Neurofeedback has helped me have a clearer mind and calmer disposition. I've found I have more energy and am overall in a more stable mood. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking mental health help.”
“I would like to begin by thanking Dr. Twana Miller, Positive Living Group for recommending Dr. Steaven Joy to my grandsons. Dr. Joy has influenced my grandsons by being a great role model. They are always eager to converse with him. As I have observed, his initial work with them for a few months has resulted in a positive mental improvement in them. Their ability to cope with stress has greatly improved, due to Dr. Joy's trustworthiness, concern, assistance, and attention to mental well-being. Now my grandsons are mentally healthier. Dr. Joy's skill in communication ensures that the boys receive the help they need. Despite facing high-pressure situations, he was still reassuring and unjudgmental during our conversations. I have observed a noticeable increase in their well-being during each session. May God continue to Bless Dr.Twana Miller Dr. Steaven Joy, and The Positive Living Group Staff , as they continue to bless families in need.”
“I reached out to The Positive Living Group (PLG) in early 2023. I received a generic email stating to fill out demographics. I did so. I got a call stating appointments were made. When I started asking questions about counselors and their specific specialty in the desired topics of discussion I was repeatedly told the counselors were professional and capable. This discouraged me as I was asking specific questions with no definite answer given, only redirect. I stated that I would think about the situation and call back. I called over 20 times with no contact to PLG. I eventually sent an online inquiry stating that I did not feel PLG was the correct fit for myself or my family and to cancel any appointments that had not been previously canceled. We found a wonderful counselor elsewhere that would answer my limited questioning about their scope of practice and how it could benefit the client. Hooray! Now, fast forward to 2025.... The same problems with getting in contact with a live person at PLG. This is hearsay, but I am going to add it... Now PLG is sending "Cease and desist" letters to individuals that practice their own 1st amendment right?!? Mother's, Fathers, friends and families should be able to talk about their own personal experiences with ANY business! It is unethical, immoral, unconstitutional and just plain wrong for a business or an individual to state harassment, defamation, or financial harm based on a factual opinion in text or verbal communication. If PGL is willing to practice coercive threats what else is this place "practicing?" I want to add that I am a Mental Health Advocate. I have held positions in various programs. I want every single person that is looking to get the help they seek. I am of the belief PLG and staff have been and are a benefit to the community. I really hope the business as a whole can and will listen to the public and past employees that are stating issues within the organization. Mental Health in a whole and every position is a very stressful job, my heart and prayers go to ALL (providers and clients).”
“I could write a whole essay about my experience here. But long story short it was the worst experience ever. A place where you’re meant to talk about what you want so they could help you get better, but that’s not what I saw here. All I’ve seen was odd stares and people making judgment calls. Also silencing me if I speak my mind. Anyone seeking therapy here should avoid Tieasha at all costs, she’s unprofessional.”
