“On May 15, around 9:00 a.m., I texted to reschedule my 1:00 p.m. (first) appointment. I specifically asked whether I would be charged a cancellation fee because if that was the case, I wanted to keep my appointment. Around 11:00 a.m., someone finally replied saying my appointment had already been given to someone else, and then I was charged an $85 fee anyway. I repeatedly told them throughout the morning that I wanted to keep my appointment if there would be a charge. Despite that, I was told the appointment had already been taken “within minutes.” The person texting me then stated that “Erica is private practice and has no receptionist, everything is done through the portal.” That immediately raised concerns for me because if there is supposedly no receptionist, then who exactly was texting me all morning and accessing my personal information? I asked multiple times to speak with someone directly. Around 12:30 p.m., I was told Erica was in session and would call me back around 5:30 p.m. Today is May 28, and despite multiple follow-ups and phone calls, I have still received no callback, no response, and no explanation. The office does not answer calls or messages. The entire situation was handled very poorly, communication was extremely unprofessional, and charging me $85 after I repeatedly stated I wanted to keep my appointment is unacceptable.”
