How likely are you to recommend The Little House of Wellness?
What patients say on Google
“Toni and her staff are amazing. We have nothing but good things to say about The Little House! 🤩”
“If I could give this place more stars, I WOULD! Toni is amazing! The staff is amazing! They are always willing to work around my work schedule with me as a single mom. They fit us in every chance they can. My oldest loves Toni as her counselor and is ALWAYS excited to be here. I recommend this amazing group of people to anyone who needs a safe space for their child. Without a shadow of a doubt, we LOVE this place!”
“This place was my safe space. I have been a client of Toni's since she was just an employee at a bigger clinic. She was the only therapist I had ever opened up to, so when she left that place, we followed her to The Little House of Wellness when it was just a singular room in the middle of nowhere. That was 5 or 6 years ago. Recently, she asked me if I wanted to switch therapists to another one in her clinic, and I assumed that meant I had to, so I did. It was going well, until that therapist quit, and when I asked to go back to Toni, I was put on a waitlist. I feel kinda hopeless but I am on medicaid and im 17 so I guess I would have to be leaving this place soon anyway. I am just going through so much and I thought I was valued as a patient but I'm just a name on the waitlist now. The therapists here are great, and I wish I was able to be a patient again.”
“I contacted Little House because they were recommended by our pediatrician. My child is experiencing mental health issues that are severely affecting day to day life and I also expressed this to them. I was told they were waiting on BCBS to approve the provider and it would be at most a week on the waitlist. After a while, I called to check in as it had been over that time frame and was told that it shouldn’t be much longer. I asked if they had any kind of estimated date of scheduling because my child needed help. They responded that it’s the holidays and they don’t know when they can schedule anyone. I asked if that means maybe in January and they said “yeah probably.” I received an email a little later saying the waitlist is taking longer than assumed and here are other counseling resources. I looked into them and found multiple do not see children. I emailed to request any kind of update on the waitlist/BCBS and mentioned a lot of the resources they sent do not cater to children. I was responded to saying maybe mid January and that those resources should all take children even though on the list they provided one explicitly says (18+). I went to the patient portal since I was sent that in early October and already filled it out (with it supposedly only being a week wait) and requested an appointment for January which was declined. I am just not sure how mental health facilities work this way. I completely understand things taking longer than normal, but there is little to no correspondence or help. Mental health is a serious matter and it honestly feels as though Little House’s office is not concerned with that. I understand existing clients like this place (and I was referred to them so obviously they are liked) but I definitely do not recommend if you are looking to start care for your child. I don’t feel that a mental health specialist should add to the feeling of hopelessness that a lot of us experience within the mental health treatment process.”
