What patients say on Google

“We’ve had a wonderful experience here. Sydnee has been incredible to work with—supportive, attentive, and truly invested in our child’s progress. Even in the short time we’ve been coming, we’ve already seen meaningful improvements. She’s been very flexible when scheduling conflicts arise, which has made a big difference for our family. After each session, she takes the time to follow up and share insights, which we really appreciate. Most importantly, our son genuinely enjoys coming to his sessions- feeling safe and comfortable, which speaks volumes. It’s clear that Sydnee is helping build a strong foundation for his growth and well-being.”

“***UPDATE*** Update (8/14/2026) With some time and perspective, I wanted to add to my original review. While my previous concerns reflected how I genuinely felt about my interactions with the owner at the time, I also want to acknowledge the very positive experience my daughter had with her therapist. My child’s therapist developed a wonderful rapport with my daughter, made her feel comfortable and understood, and created a therapeutic relationship that clearly meant more to her than I fully realized at the time. After trying another provider and recently talking with my daughter about what she wants and needs from therapy, she has expressed how much she misses her therapist and would genuinely like to return to working with her. As a parent, that carries a lot of weight for me. A strong connection between a child and therapist can be difficult to find, and I have come to appreciate the relationship they built. Although my previous experience with the practice was not without challenges, I believe it is also fair to acknowledge what went well—and Ms. Sylvia was absolutely one of those things. I’ve had multiple experiences at this practice (Hiram) that left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome as a parent. On more than one occasion, the owner’s tone and behavior came across as abrupt and lacking professionalism. During one visit, I was approached in a way that felt more accusatory than welcoming, despite being there as a parent of a child in session. Most recently, I observed similar behavior where concerns about office procedures (such as locked doors and missing items) were expressed out loud in a way that created an uncomfortable atmosphere, rather than being handled privately or professionally. As a parent, the waiting environment matters. It should feel safe, respectful, and supportive — not tense or scrutinizing. Unfortunately, that has not consistently been my experience when the owner is present. I will say that my child’s therapist has been kind and supportive, which I appreciate. However, leadership sets the tone for the entire practice, and that has been a concern for me. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as environment and professionalism are especially important in a mental health setting.”

“I am leaving a review for anyone going through any type of custody issues because the website is misleading. Stating they provide family counseling particularly for difficult transitions and conflict resolution. Although I clarified it would be only me as a client needing therapeutic outlet I was turned away. If you’re seeking help with coparenting or anything regarding custody DO NOT waste your time.”

“April has been a blessing and so amazing with our daughter and we can’t thank her enough for all she has does. She’s shown so much compassion, patience and our girl just loves her. Highly recommend!!”
