What patients say on Google
“As a therapist who has worked closely with Billie, I can confidently say that she is a wonderful clinician and an invaluable partner is client care. Our shared clients consistently benefit from her thoughtful and thorough approach to assesment and medication management. She takes the time to truly listen to both clients and collaborating providers. Thoughtfully incorporating feedback in a way that is both respectful and effective. Any person under her care is in excellent hands.”
“Doctor does not listen or provide individualized care. At my first appointment, I was retested for ADHD, reviewed my current medications, and advised to stop my anxiety medication. I agreed to stop it since I wanted to reduce medications and it did not seem effective. At my second appointment a month later, I was told to stop taking my SSRI antidepressant. Despite providing a printed list of all my medications and dosages at the first visit, the doctor appeared unfamiliar with my dosages. I was instructed on how to taper off and given a very low-dose prescription for the final stage. We also agreed that once I was off the SSRI, we would discuss trying a different medication that might be a better fit. By the third appointment, I explained that tapering off the SSRI caused weeks of significant physical distress (nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headaches). My answers to her questions reflected how unwell I felt, but instead of recognizing withdrawal symptoms, she interpreted this as depression. I explained that my lack of motivation and desire to sleep all day were consequences of untreated ADHD and medication withdrawal—not the cause. She suggested trying a “different” medication with a mild stimulant effect and assured me it would not cause similar withdrawal issues. After the appointment, I discovered the new medication was simply another SSRI, with no stimulant properties at all. This made me feel dismissed and misled, especially given my clear concerns about job performance due to constant fatigue and slowed functioning. After multiple attempts to communicate, I decided not to continue care with this provider. I instead saw my primary care doctor. Both a student doctor and my PCP independently concluded that stimulant medication was appropriate, explained ADHD treatment options clearly, and prescribed Vyvanse. Within a few days, I felt more functional and “normal” than I have in decades. There was no “bliss” at Brain Bliss. I did not feel listened to, and the care did not seem thoughtful or individualized. Despite multiple prior ADHD diagnoses, I felt as though my concerns were minimized and I was repeatedly pushed toward ineffective treatment.”
“I love that Brain Bliss is about supporting the whole person and does not just see us as a diagnosis. They help with lifestyle, nutrition, relationships, and all the things that go into our overall wellbeing.”
“I can’t say enough good things about The Brain Bliss. From the moment I walked in, I felt calm, cared for, and truly seen. The space feels peaceful and safe, and everyone there is kind, patient, and really knows what they’re doing. They take the time to listen and help you understand what’s happening in your brain and body in a way that actually makes sense. I’ve noticed such a difference in how I feel overall. It’s been a huge part of my healing and I’m so grateful I found them.”
