What patients say on Google
“I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Albany Clinic. I called simply trying to schedule an appointment for my daughter and get clarification about her care, but instead I was met with rude and dismissive behavior from a staff member named Dana. I was told my daughter had been discharged for “inactivity,” even though she had recent appointments there, including with another doctor in January. That explanation made no sense. I was also told a letter had supposedly been sent, but I never received anything. When I politely asked questions about appointment dates and discharge information, I was spoken to disrespectfully and asked, “Do you want to restart the process or not?” instead of being helped professionally. There have also been previous scheduling mistakes at this office that were blamed on us instead of acknowledged. When asked to speak to the Director I was given the run around Dana transferred me and then texted the person on the other end and told her not to help me. The director or anybody from corporate has yet to contact me back regarding this issue. What concerns me most is that this kind of confusion and poor customer service can interfere with a child receiving important care. Families deserve better communication, respect, and professionalism when dealing with healthcare providers. I hope management addresses these issues so other parents do not have to go through the same experience.”
“This place really needs to do better. They drag their feet and dont take your concerns or your child's well being into consideration. They are terrible and not willing to work with you at all without being extremely complicated. I only gave one star to leave a review otherwise it would have been no stars at all.”
“Horrible clinic. My child goes here strictly because it's who partners with his school and we have no other options. If you have options, choose any where else. First of all, they will make promises about therapy that is not kept. For example, they'll tell you your kid will be seen bi-weekly. That's not going to happen most months. They'll make up 15 different excuses as to why it just couldn't. But they won't make any effort to actually make it happen. Also a very specific example is that we were promised bi-weekly individual sessions and bi-weekly group sessions over the summer. They changed my kid down to one session a month individually. Didn't even bother to tell us. You'll try to get in contact with the therapist and that won't happen. Messages don't get delivered. But it really wouldn't matter even if they did, because you're not going to get any updates about how your child is doing. Who cares that it's your child who you enrolled and who you signed all the paperwork for. It's like you don't need to know what's going on. So you'll ask your kid instead and he'll tell you oh we just played video games... you'll ask if you talked about anything while you played those video games... and he'll say no. First appointment is at 8:00 a.m., let me tell you what, if you like to be early, don't. They won't open the door until after 8:00 so you'll be stuck standing outside. And then if your therapist has to reschedule, you won't get a phone call until after you're already there. And their excuse will be "well we don't open until 8:00." As a provider of care, if your first appointment is at 8:00 then you need to open at 7:30. Under no circumstances should someone be having to miss work/school, to come to an appointment, just to be told upon arrival that it's been rescheduled. That is a complete and utter at lack of professionalism. They'll also tell you that they're scheduling system has been down for 2 months... And perhaps that's true... but the lack of getting it fixed combined with the lack of having an alternate solution, goes to further show the problems and issues with this clinic.”
“Was referred by people who live in Lawrence county. The clinic told us they don't accept people who live in Lawrence County”
