How likely are you to recommend Texas Health Seay Behavioral Health Hospital Plano?
What patients say on Google
“I was physically assaulted here by another patient that I had previously known. She hit me over 17 times in the head before any staff intervened. Beforehand, I had told the staff that I knew her and that she had tried to hurt me before. I am very disappointed in the way things were handled in regards to my rights to press charges. I spoke to some “security officers” that told me that they would report this incident to the police (which they did not). I had to contact the police department myself and press charges after the fact and they had no knowledge of the incident. I was forced to stay in that facility with her, as they would not transfer me to a different facility, nor would they transfer her either. I ended up having to sign myself out to keep myself safe, and ended up in another facility not even 4 days later for trying to hurt myself again. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because of the good staff members that I had when I was there. Lauren the nurse is amazing and listened to me anytime I would talk to her. Ms. Connie and Ms. Heidi were also amazing and were always very kind to me.I would overall not recommend this facility to anybody seeking help as patient safety is not one of the top priorities.”
“as someone who has been a revolving door patient, I want to say that this hospital had been the best and I really do recommend it. I was in the adolescent twice in the same month and was greeted kindly even while having a breakdown. The kids are pretty nice and techs are superrr funny(Connie is one I mostly remember.) the rooms are nice and the food(especially the pizza) were good. My first stay here was spent on my birthday and I got a mini cheesecake which was better than nothing. I had attending their PHP in Richardson and can say that it was also great. Texas health seems to really know what their doing.”
“Never ever take a loved one here !!!! It was nothing but a fraudulent money making scam and they charged almost 9,000 a day !!!! They were rude , lied , could not speak English and no one knew what was going on. Could not even assist a patient to get to shower the first day just let them hang out and do nothing except sit on phone all day. Groups were a joke. 30-40 min once a day max. Would tell patient they called us yet that was a lie !!Sheets they hand out are like free things you can print of internet like a child would receive! I have never been spoken to like I was by these people when trying to arrange a family member’s discharge only to be called a liar when I explained she was already discharged according to a lady who called me the day prior yet because that person did not follow through on her job our family member had to sign a AMA to get out. This place will be reported to the medical board or where it needs to go because we cannot stand for this fraud or lack of help and understanding esp lack of communication due to not being English speaking. The lady from India today was furious when I explained I could not understand her at all ! This needs to stop. There was nothing for patients to do. Missing puzzle pieces ,never went outside. The place is a joke and needs shutting down until further review. Dr saw patient less than 5 min !!! Do not take your family here esp if under age they will be far worse . Shame on our system no wonder we have a mental health crisis !!!!!!”
“i was admitted to the SEAY center on the adolescent side for a total of six days. the first couple days i hated it so much. i hated everyone who sent me there. the last three days i was there i went along with the program and i got so much better. miss heidi, miss dez, and nurse lauren are some of the sweetest women i have ever met. i truly appreciate them. if you need help, get help. suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.”
