How likely are you to recommend Terrebonne Behavioral Health Center?
What patients say on Google
“I don't care for this place they had a woman ruined my brother's reputation at school making lies and another woman saying he wasn't man enough that's was very unprofessional the doctor I didn't care for all she wanna say like he's crazy I recommend don't even waste your time here they need to shut this place down”
“Let me preface by saying that my experience did not occur at the center, but I want people to know about one of the workers there who treated me as if I were disposable and nothing to them. This was after a few years of knowing each other and having nothing but nice interactions with each other. This worker came over to my place, and we had a nice time talking to each other. In retrospect, them sharing embarrassing stories about how they used to get high on hard drugs and mistreat and harass homeless people in New Orleans really upsets me, especially knowing how they would eventually abruptly end our friendship. Little did I know at that time that a few weeks later, I would be subject to similar mistreatment by this TBHC worker. This worker and I would normally share pleasantries nearly every day. After about a day or two of radio silence, I messaged the worker and got no response. That would be fine had the message not been opened and read, but I still got no response after subsequent messages. This concerned me, and in my confusion, I sent a few final video messages asking what was going on. Those were also opened and not responded to. I know that I am not owed a response, but someone I considered a friend was not interacting with me like they normally do, so I don't think my confusion and concern was unfounded or inappropriate. Hours later, I finally received a response, and it was seemingly reassuring. I apologized, and I felt relieved and actually ridiculous for wondering if I had done something wrong. The confusion was apparently cleared up, and things could carry on as normal. Things did not carry on as normal though, as the following day, the TBHC worker began blocking me on several platforms without any clear cause or reason. I came across them on one platform I had not yet been blocked on, and I asked what was going on. I believe I was rightful in doing so. Why wouldn't I? Why would I just carry on knowing that my friend of a few years just discarded me for no discernable reason?? Their responses were short, and they told me verbatim that "talking to [me] is like talking to one of [their] patients." This baffled me and still baffles me to no end. I never sought counsel from this person AT ALL. If they asked how my day was going, I would be honest and talk about stuff, anything, because that's what friends do, but I NEVER opened up about mental health issues with this person to an extent where they'd get frustrated with me and proceed to terminate our friendship the way they did. I can only imagine how they truly feel about their actual patients. I won't say the name of this worker, but I just want people to know what kind of person, what kind of "mental health professional," this place hires to help people and counsel people. Good luck!”
“First off I have been with SCLHSA for almost 2 decades now. Don't expect to see a doctor or counselor on the first visit or after the first phone call. I see a doctor, Dr Brice who is amazing and reads patient files and a counselor once a month. They can be overbooked and understaffed but do try to accommodate everyone. Yes I do have telehealth visits at the clinic as doctors are spread thin. I have never had any problems except for parking, which is no longer an issue, and people coming in thinking they can get seen right then and there with no consideration of others and yell at the workers who also have to worry about their own mental health.”
“Horrible, they won't let me virtual call to keep my medication... And one of their workers named Joseph told me that *You don't have to come to you're appointments and you'll still get your meds* but now they claim that it wasn't true and a mis communication... And now they are forcing me to go my appointments when I am not able to make it there because of my job I have, I wanted virtual call for my lunch break, but when I went there to my appointments they let a woman named Anita be on virtual call which is unfair and ridiculous, and one of the female worker's that answers the phone is very rude to me on the phone and she hung the phone up on me 2 times a months ago...I am not missing work for them to take hours out of my day at work to see them in person, I am never going back to them again... They don't care about me, they only care about themselves...”
