How likely are you to recommend Swanson Center?
What patients say on Google
“You're actually much better off driving multiple hours to Chicago to get care than you would be coming here. I spent months and months and months on end practically begging for anyone at this building to set me up with a therapist and enjoyed talking to a brick wall the entire time. This place only exists to push pills that generously have a 10% chance of helping you at all and then pull the next patient in, rinse and repeat. Nobody takes anything seriously there at all.”
“Debra created a warm and welcoming environment, turning what could have been a stressful experience into a truly positive one for my son. Her professionalism, patience, and genuine heart for people are truly admirable. This center is fortunate to have someone like her she is truly someone special. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“I was a patient at Swanson center from 2022-2023. I worked with Linda Roe and Jennifer Jimenez. Linda was wonderful, and I appreciated Jennifer until she shamed me for not taking the meds that she was trying to push on me. I told her what made me comfortable and what made me uncomfortable yet she continued to give me multiple different medications at the same time. I guess me sticking up for myself made me “noncompliant” I also had a complicated job and there were times when I had to cancel my appointments. It’s not ok for me to do that, but Jennifer could cancel on me last minute (especially after I complained) and then it became impossible to reschedule an appointment because I could never get a hold of the person that handled scheduling. I have switched to med management with my primary care provider and I would recommend that anyone who is having a poor experience do the same. Also, I believe my confidentiality was broken at some point and have a valid reason for believing that it was. I am grateful that I had the experiences that I did because it taught me to stand up for myself: but I highly encourage anyone who is able to go elsewhere- go elsewhere.”
“They didn't have such poor treatment services, but then one of their women doctors left and I was left with Kelly Clark, who after finding it okay to prescribe schedule II drugs to one of his patients, then decides it's alright to skip a month's prescription without discussing it with the patient, despite its addictive properties and reliant nature. Use your own best judgement if you decide to have an intake here and go with their sorrier choice of mental health doctors. I only wish I hadn't listened to my family and wasted my time with this so-called treatment center.”
