What patients say on Google
“I had to go the emergency, had quick triage, and then was admitted. The nurse in the ER was a little off putting but the rest of the staff during my stay was amazing. Nurses Colleen and Nancy were very friendly, patient and skillful when doing my treatments. I would have given higher than a three rating but the staff could not get my medication correct and I never received my morning meds due to confusion and we still had to do multiple corrections for my night meds. Very disheartening because they didn’t seem to listen to me.”
“Yesterday, March 21, 2025, I underwent two imaging procedures in tandem. The first, a standard echo was performed on my heart. The echo is a sonogram (not an x-ray) which provides the doctor with images of inside and outside of my heart while also measuring pressure inside my heart. The echo records images of my heart beating and provides the doctor with examples of the sound of my heart. The procedure took about 45 minutes. The technician simply spread transparent jelly on my chest and moved a smooth wand on my chest here and there. There was little, if no discomfort. My heart is healthy enough so that I walk several days a week outdoors. I walk a lot. I have not driven in some years. I take public transit, so I do a lot of walking. I have never had heart problems and never smoked. Aging may possibly be creeping in as I am in my mid 60's. I have never had shortness of breath. I have no lung problems. Even so, due to pressure in my heart being at 36 (normal is between 15 and 35) I was sent for a standard echo. The pressure scale used for the pressure inside the heart is greater than 200. Though the pressure inside my heart was a mere 36, as a measure of caution, my doctor referred me for a standard echo as a baseline test, I suppose to keep track over time or to monitor my case just in case it should get worse over time. I was taken to a small room with a comfortable cot with the echo machine next to the bed near my head. The technician was a very nice lady who knew how to make me comfortable. She explained everything well. Immediately after the standard echo, the nice lady who performed the echo walked me over to the mammography unit for a routine mammogram. Both procedures were performed on time and efficiently. Both technicians were professional.”
“It’s sad to know that Suburban Community Hospital is closing. Since moving to this area a few years ago, Suburban has been pivotal in providing quality care when I’ve needed an ER. I was admitted this past Saturday night. I am grateful for the services and care I received at Suburban - hands down quality care - size and name don’t mean BETTER CARE- it’s the staff that makes the difference and this staff is incredible!! The fact that the staff is facing the loss of jobs in less than a month did not hinder their ability to do their jobs in any way - they were amazing. They were on top of everything and so thorough which I cannot thank them for enough! A huge thank you to nurses Janice and Dee, Theresa, and Sherry. Dawn in ultrasound and sadly I cannot remember the tech who did my actual ultrasound but she was fantastic! Liz who performed my echocardiogram was so thorough and kind throughout the process. Lisa from food services came with a smile every time, Anthony was super helpful with the TV, (never use the down arrow!), and my friend from security who’s name I don’t have never failed to wish me well and wave when he passed by which was appreciated each and every time. To my Residents and Attendings thank you for asking the questions and searching to find an answer. This staff is a true family and it’s felt when you’re there as a patient. My heart goes out to each of them as they experience this HUGE LOSS that for so many of them was built from years of working side by side and bonds of true friendship created throughout the years. I wish everyone the very best and I sincerely thank all of the staff I encountered during my time as a patient for the care, tests performed to rule out/diagnose, the compassion given, and the laughs shared. You’re all heroes to me and I WISH that QUALITY CARE OUTWEIGHED MONETARY GAIN…I’m so sorry to all of you for the closing of what’s become your second home. The closing of this ER/hospital is a GREAT LOSS to the community. selfishness and greed should never affect”
“Clean office all around. The receptionist was accommodating and courteous. My doctor was knowledgeable of everything with my healthy and more. Great guy. The security guard was helpful with navigating me to where I need to be and he made me laugh! Kudos to the medical clinic, see you on my next visit.”
