What patients say on Google

“I am writing to formally report STEPS IN APOPKA ] for systemic misconduct and unethical treatment of residents. During my time at this facility, I witnessed and experienced several grave violations of professional standards, including: Professional Malpractice: The facility manager, Jeannette, explicitly stated to multiple residents that she "does not care about patient relapse" as it ensures "job security." This mindset creates a predatory environment that is fundamentally opposed to the mission of a recovery center. Theft and Misappropriation of Property: Personal belongings, including hygiene products and cigarettes, were confiscated and/or disposed of without cause or reimbursement, despite prior approval upon intake. Financial Irregularities: There are significant concerns regarding the management of SNAP benefits. With approximately 80 women receiving $300 in benefits monthly, the facility handles roughly $24,000 in food funding; however, the resources provided to the clients do not reflect this amount, suggesting potential SNAP fraud. You need actual therapy after getting out of this place. The manager JEANETTE SAID THIS TO MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN THE FACILITY No one should be told their "relapse is job security." That statement alone is a massive red flag for any oversight board.”

“My daughter is a dual diagnosis. She was there 15 days and then something went wrong and she wanted to come back home. She went back to try again and on the second day she contacted me and said they were forcing her to leave for leaving to get a energy drink from the store. When she became upset and didn't want to leave, they threatened to have the police come and take her away for raising her voice. She left in a panic and left medication, personal hygiene products and some paperwork. She contacted them to try to get her stuff back and they hung up on her and refused to speak to me. 3 of the employees were extremely rude and condescending. A horrible experience from a government funded housing unit with employees who couldn't recognize an addict in the midst of detoxing while experiencing a psychiatric incident 😕.”
