What patients say on Google

“Able was very sassy and rude no empathy for patients doesn’t send notifications in my chart he prefers to communicate via email and us postal mail which I was not aware until I had a cancelled appointment for 2:15 because he expected me to know my chart had glitches and doesn’t inform you. Patients with a lot going on are not checking dinosaurs age communication methods of us postal mail which is so outdated. The first attitude he gave me I recorded it and will be posting for people to see how the sassy pants MA Able acted with my 5 yr old son present so humiliating and unprofessional and unacceptable. I wouldn’t rec this office to anyone I asked could he call the office manager and he said I could she is Peggy in Gainesville. Stay away from this place not welcoming and not helpful by far I’m here for a reason not for you to add to a burden of stressors.”

“Dr Hammett is the best! He genuinely listens to you, and provides feedback based on his professional expertise rather than personal opinion. Dr. Hammett is professional, and you can sense he truly cares about your overall well-being. He asks reflective questions to get you to think, provides feedback for consideration and creates a safe and secure sharing environment. Highly recommend.”

“Dr Hammond is the best! He is very calm, patient and understanding. He is very attentive and clear about having a positive trajectory with my mental health. Also, he doesn’t rush through appointments. I highly recommend him.”

“I rarely ever write reviews for any reason, but I am strongly inclined to make an exception for Dr. Hammett, MD. My best friend, and roommate was a patient of his until yesterday. Because forthe past 13 days, she has been suffering catastrophic cervical dystonia being unable to lift her chin off of her chest. This condition is a direct side effect of her Antipsychotic medication Abilify. She called Dr. Hammetts office for an appointment for two solid days while severe crisis but was refused to be seen unless he had a cancellation of other patients. WHAT!! After taking her to three different emergency rooms, we finally found a brilliant compassionate physician at Highlands-Cashiers hospital in NC., not to mention a NEW psychiatrist. It’s frightening to know how easily mental patients would become dangerous when they’re denied access to treatment during a Psychotic crisis. It’s 💯 unconscionable and unacceptable. Good riddance!”
