What patients say on Google
“Something is sketch about this place. Like it don't feel trustworthy. I've been to a number of places and seen lots of therapists in my years (Best was Tiffany at JPC, worst was the owners son and Tim at Crossroads) But here, How they respond to reviews and specifics some include, don't sit right. It was really uncomfortable seeing some guy checkin in and waiting as a client one week then seeing him as an employee not long later. Is it normal to employ clients? Somethin don't seem right about it. Now they even have a therapist who broke a restraining order with a kid that isn't hers. My therapist is alright I guess, but if I learned anything in therapy, it not worth ignoring all these boundary issues. I thought I be over reacting but I asked some people and a support group and they said all of it ain't right. I'm looking for a more safe feeling place, that doesn't feel so weird.”
“They really need to make "no stars" an option. My doctor sent an urgent referral to this place well over a month ago I still haven't heard anything from them. As far as I can tell, they offer no services. But seriously, how are you going to be a mental health facility and just ignore referrals? Even if they're super-busy, I still cannot fathom why, in over a month, no one has had time to make a simple phone call. Atp, if they do ever call, I won't be going here for treatment. They've already shown me how much I matter to them. . No, I don't want to call Stephanie.”
“They don't help with family issues that involve children of divorced parents It has shown they let the children disrespect one parent and not interviene while it's happening right in front of the councilor. Even when a child states "they don't want to live anymore and I should kill myself." This is unacceptable!!! There should be some repercussions of the councilors actions. I'm going to file a report to the state as to this matter. Even if they are a private business for mental health issues. I would Not recommend their services to anyone.”
“After having time to reflect on my experience at Stateline and specifically with Stephanie, I feel obligated to put my experience out into the world to warn and hopefully save yourselves. I have come to realize that Stephanie has one, singular goal and it has absolutely nothing to do with the well-being of your children. Her goal is to force a co-parenting relationship. There is nothing wrong with aiming to co-parent when there are simple miscommunications among two adults trying to raise children. That I can fully support. Stephanie, however, seems to realize that there are relationships with a toxic partner that is unwilling to change their actions in any way, so instead, she focuses on changing the parent who is willing to put in the work. I took all of Stephanie's advice to heart and really tried everything she suggested and kept at it. I showed up and I put in the work as best as I could but no matter what, my co-parent would show up to joint sessions and be allowed to talk, uninterrupted, insulting me. In private, Stephanie would act like my greatest advocate and say that my concerns are justified. That changed as soon as we had a joint session. Anything my co-parent would say was taken as utter truth and Stephanie would often hold my feet to the fire. I was made to apologize for every perceived slight while she never suggested that my co-parent apologize for her physical and verbal abuse. Stephanie preys on the parent willing to do what is best for their kids. In this scenario, that was me. And the results for our children were awful. Once, happy children, they became utterly depressed. When I brought this up, Stephanie and my co-parent were quick to blame me. When I asked what I was doing, silence. It became clear that Stephanie was trying to 'win' by creating a co-parenting relationship at the EXPENSE of the children and myself. After going and working with a separate therapist one-on-one and a lot of self-doubt and self-loathing, I came to realize that everything Stephanie was suggesting only benefitted the abuser. I've since gone back to court and, with the same things I had shown Stephanie, was able to receive full custody and placement. Please, be careful. If I was a cautionary tale, that would be fine, but my children should not have to be an example of a negligent therapist who sides with abusers. Look elsewhere and, please, listen to your children when they talk to you and LET them talk to you. No child should have to suffer in silence.”
