How likely are you to recommend Starr Regional Medical Center - Athens?
What patients say on Google
“I was an inpatient for almost 3 days. I was well taken care of and was truly amazed at the quality of the food service. Dr. Reed was my doctor but I saw a nurse practioner who was most helpful. The staff was very good in my care. I had a private room and bathroom. Very clean room. I don't recommend the doctor that I saw some months ago when I suffered a stroke. I won't say much about that unprofessional fiasco that I suffered at that time at the ER department's . doctor.”
“My daughter had a baby today and the whole team was amazing (day shift) but I want to give an extra 15 stars to Julia Tate. What an AMAZING AMAZING nurse. Love love love her. Thank you Julia you are amazing!!! Dr. Olga Uribe delivered (emergency c-section) and what a joy of a woman and doctor she is. DrJoe Lauterbach took care of her through her appointments and he was also amazing. I would recommend these precious people to everyone. Thank you all so very much!! Now the postpartum care on night shift, Ally, Grace, Kathryn and Margret from womens and children's services, let me just say WOW, so sweet and helpful. Really amazing bedside manners. What a wonderful place to have a baby. Thank you ladies for taking care of MY baby girl.”
“Disgusting service all around. Rude workers, regardless of their position. They've left their patients in feces after being given Miralax, sent home without fully covering all of their bases. They claim prescribed pain meds are being abused if someone passes out (even though they went in for possible septic shock from a UTI). Nurses are rude, can't stand to answer call lights without having an attitude. They leave their patients to fend for themselves knowing they need help. All they seem to care about is opening up hospital beds for the next person. Absolutely do not go here if you want your family to receive decent treatment. You won't get decent here, it's bottom of the barrel at this establishment. For the love of God, do not become a nurse if you don't have it in you. The DMV welcomes you with open arms.”
“This review will be long, but worth the read, if you need help deciding where to deliver your baby. We have had an incredible experience at Starr Regional with the Labor and Delivery department. I came in nervous as a first time mom being induced. We were greeted with a smile and expectancy. The staff were ready for us to arrive. From our night nurse, Misty, to our day nurses, April and Ally, they were all knowledgable, kind, and professional throughout the labor process. Dr. Uribe helped alleviate the stress of a complicated delivery, helping me and my husband have peace in a challenging time. Our nurse Khalia was so kind and helpful as we moved to the postpartum recovery room. She answered many questions and helped provide support and confidence through breastfeeding. Nurse Margaret was also wonderful and kind, as she tended to us in the mornings. Our nurses: Misty, Ally, and April came to check on us the next day, post delivery. We have been blessed to have such wonderful nurses and doctors as we brought our sweet boy into the world.”
