What patients say on Google

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS! INVOLVES HER POLITICS IN PATIENT CARE AND IS HIGHLY UNETHICAL! I started seeing Stacy in early 2024. After the 2024 election I shared relevant anxiety with Stacy Spencer during an appointment. She immediately made it known that she is pro-Trump. She also immediately dismissed my concerns saying "it won't turn out to be as bad as you think". Sharing your own political opinion and letting it influence a patient's care is unacceptable and unethical! I should have known better than to continue trusting her, but I incorrectly assumed she would not allow her political opinions to influence my care. Furthermore, it's my understanding that this is a pattern she has repeated with other patients as well. Also, Stacy frequently shared other inappropriate personal information with me; including her own private health information. This always made me uncomfortable. Patients should not be offered details about a provider's health issues! Most concerning of all is the fact that she diagnosed me incorrectly with no evaluation for said disorder whatsoever. She had never once mentioned even a suspicion of this disorder in any of my previous notes. About two years of notes with her dont mention this disorder at all until the final appointment when Stacy was acting highly agitated and irrational! The timing (and lack of any discussion concerning my mental health in that appointment) strongly suggested to me this diagnosis was purely retaliatory, following her taking strong offense to prematurely finding out I was intending on switching providers (through a medical note made in my MyChart record by a different provider). I am so glad I brought an advocate and witness with me to that appointment! During that final appointment, she did not take any notes or recordings and our entire interaction was concerned with her displeasure regarding finding out I planned on switching providers and discontinuing care with her. We did not discuss anything about my medical status at that time whatsoever! Yet I was given a serious and inaccurate mental health diagnosis in the notes from that visit?!? From the beginning of that visit Stacy was immediately very agitated about my intention to switch care. Right away she started accusing me of lying to her about wanting to switch providers when she had asked me previously. However, I have absolutely no knowledge of any such prior conversation! At this point she continued to escalate and in my view seemed extremely agitated and unprofessional. She then suggested I try to begin seeing a specific PMH NP that she had replaced on staff at Rau Family Medicine previously in 2024. She demanded I explain why I was wanting to switch care. I remained neutral and stated that it was due to lack of recent improvement in my mental health condition (I had been getting increasingly worse and she hadnt effectively adjusted my meds; including for my reported severe chronic insomnia over the whole 3 month period prior). I also stated it wasnt helpful for her to seem so concerned about me immediately returning to work while on short term disability after a recent work incident retraumatized me. She took my reasoning personally and responded by saying she had only suggested new places for me to work because she was "trying to help" me. Regardless, when a patient is on disability leave and is not improving it is not helpful to discuss alternative future workplaces. She stated she would give me 90 days of my prescribed medicines excluding my much needed PRN meds because that is "CRH's policy". I was financially harmed and suffered unneeded anxiety due to her unreasonable behavior. I believe this contributed very significantly to my loss of a year of full income, since her office had been solely handling my short term disability claim up to that point! Over the two year course of my care and during this final appointment, she seemed to perseverate about this other PMH NP (mentioned before). I now understand why. It's my understanding that she has continued to lose patients and a great nurse to this other PMH NP.”
