How likely are you to recommend Springfield Psychiatry?
“I had an excellent experience with Springfield Psychiatry. The staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about their patients. From scheduling my appointment to meeting with my provider, everyone was helpful and respectful. The provider took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and work with me to develop a treatment plan that fit my needs. The office is welcoming, and communication has always been prompt and courteous. I highly recommend Springfield Psychiatry to anyone looking for compassionate, quality mental health care.”
“Springfield Psychiatry is great. I’ve made great progress with my diagnosis and received help with truly caring staff. I’ve been encouraged to step out of my comfort zone at my own pace and through joint dedication on both parts and made immense progress. They truly have your best interest in mind even when it doesn’t seem like the easy option. Trust the process! It’s worth it to feel great!”
“I had high hopes for this place when my PCP referred me but I was sorely disappointed. I will say it was decently quick to get a new patient appointment - which was very nice given other places you have to wait months. However, now I understand why! The office staff if very nice but it seemed like everyone was in a huge rush and very stressed. During my new patient appointment, I was shuffled into their “lab” to do some swap and urine test. I was never told when I scheduled the appointment there would be any type of lab work so I was completely caught off guard. It wasn’t until I spoke with the NP during my second visit(after they already did took the samples) that I even knew what these tests were for. I was given no choice to opt out of these tests or told my insurance wouldn’t cover it! I even had to take the urine test twice and I still have no clue what they were even checking for. A few months later, I’ve now been slapped with a $330 bill because my insurance didn’t cover them due to these tests being deemed unscientific/unproven/experimental. Absolutely ridiculous! I feel this was extremely unethical and no longer trust this office. During my second appointment, the NP reviewed whatever these results were and the medications I was taking were on the “won’t work for you column” even though they were working me… The NP I was scheduled with was nice and friendly but way too quick about changing my meds/taking me off all of them. She would ask how I was doing - I mentioned I was getting dry mouth as I read that was a side effect of the medication they prescribed. She wanted me to tell her what I wanted do without any real explanation of what recommendations/suggestions she had. Isn’t that their job? They give me the pros and cons, give their recommendations, and at that point we decide together the best course of action? But no, I was expected to tell them exactly what I wanted. This was my first time ever dealing with ADHD meds so how the heck am I supposed to know. Yes, I do know how to use Google but I should also be able to rely on this NP to provide any tiniest bit of guidance and that is not what I got. The NP I was seeing left after I had my 3rd appointment so not even shocked by that. I explained to my PCP the issue I had with this place and she gladly is taking over my meds from now on. Overall, would not recommend this place at all or if you go, opt out of that stupid swab and urine test because it’s pseudoscience and not worth you time and money.”
