Firstly, this practice does not accept insurance, which is incredibly frustrating and limits access to those who can afford out-of-pocket expenses. This policy alone feels exclusionary and demonstrates prioritization of profit over patient care. As someone struggling with mental illness and substance abuse I was hoping to find a supportive and understanding environment. Instead, I have never felt more judged in my life It seems that the primary concern of this office is financial gain rather than providing genuine help and comfort to patients in need. While I acknowledge that Dr. McCarthy is highly intelligent and has offered me some valuable advice, his approach is marred by a condescending and rude demeanor. His communication style often left me feeling belittled and disrespected, which is the last thing anyone dealing with mental health issues needs from their psychiatrist. Overall, my interactions with Dr. McCarthy and his practice have been disheartening. I would not recommend his services to anyone seeking compassionate and patient-centered mental health care.”
