How likely are you to recommend SouthEnd Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“Everyone's experience will differ from mine. For the start, the initial appointment process was quick, since texting staff is an option. There is constant staff turn around. The office does try to accommodate if you prefer male or female and offer psychiatric medication management and therapy. However, you may connect with a provider and they may end up leaving with no notice. Leaving you lost and without continuity of care. Then depending on your situation, be prepared to restart and go through your entire history again. Then, beware if you get a next day visit that falls on a weekend since that visit may be canceled since they have to ensure insurance is active which if you had a recent visit should be no need; inconvenience that lead to delay in your care. Be prepared to be your own advocate. Anyway choosing to seek mental health is rewarding. Its trial and error yet dont feel obligated to stay at this practice. There are many options available. Take care and dont let mismanagement detour your grit to explore your mental health ✨️”
“Staff is great to deal with informative and communicative through text responsive and very polite. Dr Cordelia Ozigboh Lee is amazing ( Dr Oz Lee) she is very professional and has a good sense of humor. She is thorough and answers questions and for my second session she seemed to remember quite a bit of our first session. She truly cares for patients and is very empathetic to their needs. I really love her and hope to continue with her services. 💜🙏”
“I was referred to this place for talk therapy and made it clear from the beginning that I was only seeking therapy services, not psychiatric care or medication management. Communication was handled entirely through text, which already felt unprofessional. I was pressured to quickly submit paperwork for what I believed would simply be an intake consultation, and I even provided the specific therapist I wanted to see. When the video appointment happened, no one joined for 15 minutes. After I left, someone called me and proceeded to misgender me throughout the conversation, asked irrelevant questions, and focused heavily on medication despite me never requesting psychiatric services. It was clear they had not reviewed my paperwork, and the entire experience was uncomfortable and distressing during an already difficult time in my life. Months later, I discovered a $100 charge on my HRA account for what was essentially a 7-minute phone call. When I tried resolving it, I was treated dismissively, laughed at, gaslit into believing I misunderstood the process, and eventually hung up on. After that, my calls were ignored entirely. It ultimately took multiple three-way calls with a friend who was also a patient there, along with threats to report them to my insurance and for fraud, before I finally received a refund. I would strongly discourage anyone seeking support from going here. They are clearly doing insurance fraud. In my experience, they showed very little care or professionalism, and my friend also experienced ongoing issues getting medications on time, causing additional distress.”
“I have been receiving treatment from Mba Naachi at SouthEnd Psychiatry for over a year now. He listens, is extremely empathetic and kind. His recommendation on my treatment plan has helped me, so I trust his expertise and judgment.. I feel lucky to have found Mba Naachi since it wasn’t easy opening up to several NP before him, but we seem to have a nice groove. I feel comfortable being honest if I’m not doing well. I have never had any issues with communication. He’s made himself available without issues. Thank you Mba. Appreciate you so much.”
