“I hate to write bad reviews, but I feel this warranted to let others know my experience. We saw the therapist about three times and honestly didn’t get anywhere with her. Not saying it’s her fault but I happen to make an appointment a few months out. The appointment came up, and I completely completely forgot about it (Just an FYI, they do not send you any kind of reminder or Notification about your appointment at all). The receptionist called to see if I was still coming and I told her that I completely forgot. Honest mistake, I always am good about rescheduling, but I missed this one. Probably because I'm going to a therapist with my family for a hardship and just not thinking clearly. Well, the receptionist Failed to mention that if I didn't reschedule, I was going to get billed $145. Yes, I did sign some thing about their policy but again I completely forgot and it’s not like you’re going to a hair appointment you’re going to a therapist and usually not in a clear state of mind. So just beware that when you’re going here that their policy is to bill you if you miss an appointment. I am OK with paying a fee if I miss an appointment but when you don’t have a reminder service and you’re dealing with people that are in tough situations, I just think that’s taking advantage of your clients!”
“I would not recommend using this practice. My son was diagnosed with Lyndsey ($165 out of pocket expense) and things progressed very fast requiring more help. I called and emailed to have them fill out a letter that was needed for insurance and after a week of no one getting back to me, I called again. Lyndsey finally called me back and basically stated that because my son would not be under her care moving forward, she would not fill out the form. I asked for a simple letter stating what her diagnosis was and she said she would give me something basic however I would have to pay for that. I understand fees but not when it’s simply because you’re disappointed about a patient not returning. It took her more time to call me and go back and forth about not filling out the letter than it would have taken her to simply write her diagnosis and sign! That’s not even addressing the advice to “isolate yourself when you’re feeling depressed, so you don't dampen the mood for others” probably why my son is worse and thought about self harm. Please choose a practice that gives sound advice and puts your child’s mental health before their feelings and fees.”
“Dr. Masood is wonderful! I am very pleased with her. Dr. Masood is very caring and knowledgeable - an outstanding doctor in my opinion. I have seen her for almost 3 years. In addition to the quality of her service, I like that she does not insist that I schedule more appointments or longer appointments than necessary. In other words, she treats me as a valued patient, not a profit center. Some have given a one-star review based solely on one interaction by phone with the office staff. (Another has no comment at all). Of course it is fair to comment negatively if you have a negative experience with a member of the office staff (of any place of business). Unfortunately, it unfairly skews the "true" rating of the practice. Personally, I am quite pleased with the entire team that supports the doctors with scheduling, check-in/check-out, billing, etc. and have always been treated courteously and respectfully. One great thing about SPA is they actually *have* an office staff! I don't know of another psychiatry practice where that's the case. I hope it never changes!”
“As caregiver for my brother with Parkinson's, we were unable to see Dr., at office, for 18 months due to pandemic. Zoom was not an option. Now that they are seeing patients again I was told since they have not seen my brother in over a year he was no longer a patient and they were not accepting new patients. My brother had a great relation with doctor but now we have to search for a new psychiatrist. Dropping my brother, in these times of stress, is unforgivable.”
