How likely are you to recommend South Florida Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“I had a great experience with provider Christabel. She is professional, attentive, and truly takes the time to listen and understand your concerns without making you feel rushed. I felt comfortable opening up, and she created a supportive, nonjudgmental environment throughout each visit. Christabel is very thorough in her approach and explains things clearly, which helped me feel more confident and involved in my treatment plan. I’ve noticed meaningful improvements since starting care with her, and I appreciate how responsive and compassionate she is. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring psychiatric provider.”
“My experience with South Florida Psychiatry was incredibly disappointing and raised serious concerns about both billing practices and patient care. Today was the last straw. I was already wary of this office's billing practices due to previous issues, but today I received a notification at 10:25 a.m. that my card had been charged the full amount for an appointment that was not scheduled until two days later at 11:20 a.m. I found this shocking. In all my years of seeing doctors, specialists, and mental health providers, I have never had a practice charge me the full cost of a visit two business days before the appointment even took place. I was later directed to an acknowledgment form stating that this is their policy. Patients should be aware of this before providing a card on file because it is very different from what many people are accustomed to at other medical offices. My concerns about billing did not start today. On my birthday, while I was in the car with my entire family, I received an unexpected phone call from a provider. I did not have an appointment scheduled and was never informed that the call would be treated as a billable psychiatric session. The only reason I became aware that I had been charged was because I received a notification from my bank. When I questioned the charge, I was told it had been entered as a session with Andre Guerrero. After I challenged it, the office reversed the charge, accepted responsibility for what happened, and stated that they would speak with the psychiatrist to ensure it would not happen again. That alone should tell prospective patients everything they need to know. This experience left me extremely uncomfortable with the level of access this office has to patients' payment information and the ease with which charges can be processed. The front desk staff often seemed disorganized and unable to provide clear answers regarding billing, scheduling, or office policies. Getting straightforward information was unnecessarily difficult and often frustrating. My experience with Glenda was equally disappointing. She gave a poor first impression, appeared disengaged, and put minimal effort into the appointment. When I asked questions, I did not receive clear, knowledgeable, or thoughtful answers. I left feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously and that very little effort had been put into my care. I had already decided that I would no longer seek treatment from anyone at this practice before receiving their later notice regarding termination of care. Between the billing concerns, poor communication, disorganization, and disappointing patient care, I cannot recommend South Florida Psychiatry. If you choose to become a patient here, pay close attention to your bank notifications, review every charge carefully, and make sure you fully understand every billing policy before leaving a card on file.”
“Honestly had a really good experience here. Everyone was welcoming and easy to talk to, and I never felt judged or rushed. The psychiatrist and psychologist actually listened and made me feel comfortable opening up. The whole process felt smooth and supportive. Definitely recommend if you’ve been putting off getting help.”
“Katerina is beyond welcoming and incredibly compassionate. She truly took the time to listen and understand me and her recommendations were thoughtful and spot-on. With her, I finally felt heard. I genuinely look forward to seeing Katerina again soon. Thank you so much for all your help.”
