“Many of the buildings here are underused or even abandoned. But you can still sense the history here of mental healthcare. Frankly, not all of it is pretty and stories abound, including that of a hidden nearby graveyard. But the people who work here are dedicated to their craft and doing what many would consider impossible work with the disabled. It’s especially pretty here in the fall because of all the trees amidst the architecture.”

“This place is the worst place to work. I have seen individuals beat on, sharing underwear, eating out the garbage, not having the proper bedding for the weather, no coats, grooming poor. And more. It’s sad. And this place needs to be closed. And anyone that puts their family member in this place is heartless. The food be expired. It be freezing on the units and they’ll just have a sheet on the bed. The house keepers don’t clean up. All they do is sweep for 8 hours. The bathrooms are disgusting. While Lynn Gund and her BFF Kelly Shultz sitting at the center building looking stupid worried about who has a cell phone. Nasty bugs crawling all over the unit all in the individuals rooms and beds but nobody cares. They put on a grand show when Public Health comes. But any other time we’re working short and nothing is done according to the books. Somebody call OSHA or something!!! Send help!!!!!”

“They abuse their patients out there!! They don't care about their people. They don't feed them a proper meal. They literally eat prison food. They need to do better checks on their patients. They let this one girl who is schizophrenic and severe ocd and autism wear slip on shoes to work shop. That's a safety issue for kctc. This place needs to be shut down..”

“If I could rate this place a 0, I would. Disgusting, you staff should be ashamed of yourself. They beat up the kids there, to the point that they are scared! Something needs to change, or this place needs to be shut down. It’s so sad that these staff need to beat on disabled girls to make themselves feel inferior.”
