“It's hard to find a psychiatrist who can both listen empathetically and act decisively. Dr. Malekan cares about the well-being and speedy recovery of her patients. She works with deliberation to establish a diagnosis and then develops a realistic and individualized treatment plan. She is careful with medications, starting at low dosages and monitoring side effects before progressing to a higher dosage or different medication.”

“I met with Dr. Malekan a few times after my current physichiatrist moved. I was never totally comfortable so chose to find another doctor with whom I am very satisfied. My biggest beef with Dr. Malekan was that though she was in network, she wanted full payment because of the possibility my deductible had not been covered. This was after losing a few weeks because her billing service, despite providing info multiple times, had still not verified my insurance. I went along with this with her concurrence that any overage would be applied or refunded. She owes me $170 which I have pursued for months now. I have sent emails and letters without the decency of getting any response from her or her staff or her contract billing servicer. Beware!”
