“I requested for someone who specializes in my mental illness and the first visit the counselor minimized my mental illness and tried to diagnosis me with something else. Was prescribed medication that didn't work and caused ER visit for panic attack and I tried to get another appointment with the NP since new meds caused continuous heart palpitations and more anxiety and was denied by the very same counselor who was short with me and said I needed to see her first due to some policy they have that she couldn't explain why. I emailed the director over a week ago for help in understanding and haven't heard back. If you have a serious mental illness, this is not the place to be cared for. Reaching out for help with the right medication before continuing with a better fitted counselor and then being denied is unacceptable practice.”
