How likely are you to recommend Sarkis Family Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“I have been a patient at Sarkis Family Practice for the past several years and have been very pleased with the care I have received. I was referred there by my primary care physician after my longtime psychiatrist retired, at a point when my depression and anxiety had become increasingly difficult to manage despite years of treatment. My therapist, Brooke Recoppa, has worked closely with me throughout that time. What I appreciated most was the thoughtful and professional approach to treatment. Finding the right medication combination and dosage adjustments was a gradual process, not an overnight fix, and Brooke handled that process carefully and efficiently. She also emphasized that improvement required work and changes on my part as well. Over time, the combination of appropriate treatment, medication management, and therapy has made a tremendous difference in my quality of life. I feel more balanced, stable, and genuinely happier than I have at any other point in my life. For the first time, I experience a consistent sense of well-being that does not depend entirely on outside circumstances. Mental health treatment is very personal, and results take time, but my experience with this practice has been extremely positive. I would recommend Sarkis Family Practice, and Brooke Recoppa in particular, to anyone seeking compassionate, professional, and patient-centered mental health care.”
“I would not recommend this practice or Megan Cutter specifically. Stay away! I saw Megan Cutter at Sarkis from approximately 2017 - 2025. I was an excellent patient for almost a decade and had an amazing relationship with Megan throughout my treatment at Sarkis. I never had any issues with billing or any of the staff. I last saw Megan about a month ago. During that time she did not once mention that I had a past due balance at her office. Today I called my pharmacy to find that she never called in my prescriptions after the last visit. I called her office to settle my account and was treated so poorly by the office staff. I was also told that Megan was aware of the situation and had directed this person and her actions. I immediately paid my bill, had them call in the medications that they were supposed to and told them to cancel my future appointments with their office. I was offered no apologies, so kindness, nothing. After a decade-long relationship. I am hurt personally and I am appalled at the unprofessional behavior of Megan Cutter and Sarkis Family Psychiatry. You are working with people who have severe anxiety and other mental health problems. Be kind. (Obviously I have hired a new psychiatrist - here’s to hoping I can find kind care for my medication needs).”
“This was the best experience I ever had with doctors. I was skeptical because when I called to make the appointment they guided me to a nurse practitioner, as opposed to a doctor. I was also worried because it is a private pay only facility that they were going to take my money and not help me (as has happened so many times in the past). Once I got there I just felt like they actually cared, the front desk staff immediately asked me who I was and what time my appointment was, and when they looked in the file they had from filling out the initial appointment review they immediately gave me the packet I needed to fill out (only a few pages) then as soon as I sat down to fill it out Ashley called me (by the correct pronunciation of my name) to get my vitals and weight. After that I returned to the nice waiting area, which had a place for children to play, and finished filling out my 3 page of form. My appointment was at 2:15, I got there at 1:45, and after I had finished everything the nurse practitioner called me in. This is where I thought I was going to be evaluated for 10 minutes and sent on my way with the same meds I’ve always taken... Heather spent close to an hour and a half with me... talking about everything going on in my life, getting to know me, and evaluating me as every doctor should do with a new patient. She was the kindest sweetest doctor, and I really felt like she actually cared about me. At the end she did continue me on the medication I regularly take, but she also went out of her way to put me on a new medicine to help with some other issues I’ve been dealing with. She was the best. Let me reiterate, Heather was the best mental health professional I’ve ever spoken to. They didn’t ask for money until after I finished my hour and a half evaluation, and only after they prescribed me my normal medication and a new medication to help with my current issues. So for anyone worried about wasting money on them, please don’t be scared. This is a real doctors office with professionals at every level from the front desk to the doctors that evaluate you. I can’t sing the praises of Ms. Heather enough. What a wonderful woman that actually cares. I was literally blown away by how amazing this doctor was. I can’t thank her enough for how good of an experience I had. I honestly look forward to my next appointment.”
“Sarkis is not practice where new advances in medicine, mental health practice and knowledge are welcome. In addition, they are happy to make their own policies on what they will and will not share with patients and other practitioners regarding your medical records. NOTE-that is illegal!!! You are entitled to review and obtain a copy of all your medical records, including notes.”
