What patients say on Google

“Working with Jacob, the Director of Community Outreach, has been an amazing experience. His passion for understanding and helping others has truly defined the mission of Sanford Health. After much research and many conversations with multiple facilities, I know that my loved one is in the best care and I look forward to seeing the outcome of their healing in a such a compassionate and human environment!”

“I'm not quite sure how you thank a group of people who literally gave us our loved one back. They fought as hard as she did to release all of the beauty that had been locked up inside her for so long. She is confident. She is determined. She is winning each battle, big and small....all with continued support from this team even after she left the First Responder home. You will forever have our gratitude and admiration. Every dream is within reach if you keep fighting for it; reminding yourself that a setback is not a failure. You give the tools that change lives. God bless you all.”

“The program at Sanford, J.O.H.N is nothing but amazing. This high intensity, comprehensive program has changed my life and given me a deeper understanding of myself and greater knowledge and approach to stress and its root causes and the proper management of them. Their understanding of law enforcement and first responders stress is unmatched. I would highly recommend this program to any law enforcement personnel struggling with stress, depression, P.T.S.D or substance use disorder. As a 37 year police veteran I have heard two many times “Stress is part of the job, suck it up”. This false bravado is so engrained in us from the first day in the police academy throughout our entire career. According to experts on the subject, police officers see a staggering number of traumatic events in a career, with estimates ranging from hundreds to over a thousand, far surpassing the few (2-4) seen by the average person. It's my belief that it's time for police officers, first responders and military personnel to say “It’s OK to not be OK” and seek help without judgement because their life matters. Special thanks to Lindsy, Elizabeth, Matt, Parker and Chis for challenging me to take a hard look it my interself and make the needed changes.”

“This place has been awful with refill requests and appointments. I wont a get a return all for up to 6 days. Im always frightened to run out of my medications and this place doesn't even give 2 craps. Inpatient was a delight but outpatient is a headache. I would've given 5, but I feel largely ignored.”
