“This place is horrible for the teenage group. I was there for 3 days and they kicked 3 people out in the same day, same hour, after assuming drug abuse. Knowing, each one of them struggle with mental health but didn’t talk to them first, and just went into straight accusations. After the therapist “caught” us in the bathroom she made us wait in there until the answer she wanted to hear came out. Nobody was using any drug. She eventually told us to go in a room and wait for her so we waited, she never showed up. I missed my schoolwork time, and I never ate lunch. None of the people their truly care what your going through and are not empathetic at all. Do not send your kid here PLEASE.”
“What you say to your therapist here is not private. Their therapists do not understand confidentiality and will take out of context and misinterpret things you say without trying to understand. Very bad place for somebody trying to get better to be. I’m even more stressed out now than when I went in.”
“Horrible experience. Staff are unprofessional and you would think they are untrained. Left kids completely unsupervised multiple times even after warnings. After they realized they messed up, they decided to kick out everyone they left alone to cover up their mistakes. We left worse than before.”
“While my experience with Kim Mason was not hopeful and she behaved unethically, I did have a positive experience and environment with Amy's guidance. A therapist goal is to do no harm and unfortunately, Kim's behavior impacted not one but several clients in a harmful manner. I suggest supervision surrounding these issues to help other staff avoid it, but I did appreciate the opportunity to learn more about myself and what my needs were, as well as recognize there is hope for each and every person to live a fulfilling life during some of their darkest moments. I hope Kim strongly learns that boundaries are in place for a reason and the ways in which she violated them are harmful for someone vulnerable that experienced trauma.”
