“Extremely disappointed I felt that my therapist that I was seeing was not beneficial for me. That we just didn't have the right connection. So I called to see if I could switch to a different therapist, and they told me that they do not switch providers. And I said, okay, so can I just do my psychiatry? And I guess not do therapy, they told me that's fine, but I'm not allowed to see a therapist at another facility because I'm going through them for psychiatry. So basically, if your provider isnt beneficial for you, you're just screwed and have to deal with things alone. Thanks! So much for being a "mental health" clinic 🙄”

“My experience has been almost to a T of others I just read. Now the rehab had failed to get me a mental health appointment - which was the most important thing for me, and I still am waiting on an appointment. I haven’t been able to get my scripts renewed. Was a handful of intakes with my case manager spanning weeks. And im not sure how it’s managing a case because my calls aren’t returned . I felt group was not constructive , throw a movie in and call it a day, not much actual conversation, and I felt why am I coming here. Not that it matters , but I was going out of choice , and I have been trying to call back to get on schedule with no call backs and a letter they’re marking me as incomplete when I’ve been trying to call for weeks. It’s December - I was discharged from rehab 2 months ago .. that’s 2 months without help, after begging for some , no refills and abruptly had to stop taking my medication therefore not good for my treatment and health .. felt like I was overlooked slipped through the cracks and wrongfully handled. I’m just very disappointed and I wish the system wasn’t so flawed. Especially when you’re begging for help.”

“I was speaking to someone in the Mental Health Unit when I heard this "I don't want to leave I am homeless!" It was a man. A woman responded "Too bad! You are going to DSS!" I called back the main line to question that. They defended it. The man sounded like he was suffering. I also visited in person to see the entire staff be terribly afraid of one black woman yelling, with no weapons, nothing but her body. She was pacing, and all staff looked absolutely terrified and just looked down. As a guest, I wondered if I needed to assist properly. It was indicative of sincere lack of training. Very disturbing things to witness.”

“just now New I had a terrible experience with their psych center for adults. I was 18 and I was placed in a room with a grown woman who was looking to hurt others. She was touching herself at night while I was trying to sleep. She had her paintings on the wall of people dying. I asked to be moved and no one did it. I was given a thin t shirt five sizes too big and my bra was taken so I felt extremely exposed all the time. The staff provided no comfort when I was crying. I was given night meds in the morning and morning meds at night, then expected to get up and do activities. I was fed food I was allergic to multiple times. Plus I was hit on by a staff member who was twice my age. An absolutely horrific three day stay that I will never forget. I got no healing here. I honestly came out feeling worse than when I went in.”
