What patients say on Google

“I am following up 4 years later. Dr. P and Jamie saved my life. When no one believed me about my medical issues, and Drs. kept telling me it was psych, they believed me. Thanks to them advocating on my behalf, I was able to get a hysterectomy (at 33). Amidst this I had a nervous breakdown when finding out about my now ex husband's affair which resulted in me unknowingly getting an STD which contributed to my hysterectomy. Jamie was there on the phone with me, coaching me through a major anxiety attack the day after I found out. She and Dr. P got me the meds I needed to get me through it without being hospitalized. Since then I have moved to MO, did a lot of edmr/trauma focused therapy per their recommendation.I finally got the strength to leave an awful marriage. I also gained the strength to get proper diagnosis at WashU as to why I was having so many weird symptoms. I was never mentally ill as Dr. P suspected. I have a rare metabolic condition (lysinuric protein intolerance) that presents with neuro deficits and what can appear as psychosis but is actually just high ammonia levels. For the first time in my entire life, I am thriving. I have a long road ahead with a lot of unknowns because I am patient 201 in the world, but I have help now and answers. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Dr. P and Jamie... You saved my life and gave me the strength to keep going until I got answers. This is a place you go to when you want help, and are willing to be compliant and honest. This is not a place to go to for what you have self diagnosed yourself with. This is not a place to go to if you are self medicating, if you are chronical late, and miss appointments, as they don't tolerate non compliance. This is not a place for warm fuzzies. Dr. P cares but you aren't going to get a warm hug and big smile, those are reserved for when he has gotten you back on track. Trust the process. Read the contract. He vets his patients and requires deposit, because he wants to help as many patients as possible. I would travel back to Texas to see him again if ever needed, the "hoops" to jump through are worth it.”

“I had an appointment with Jamie before she left, and she was incredibly kind and attentive. When I called, I spoke with the receptionist and explained that my PCP had taken me off my medication because I wasn’t feeling well. I asked if Jamie could be notified, as I needed something in the meantime. The receptionist said she couldn’t find an earlier appointment for me and advised me to wait. I requested for Jamie to call me, but I never heard back. By the time my appointment arrived, I had been off my medication for a while, and my depression had worsened. When I explained the situation to Jamie, she was upset and said it was an emergency. She should have been informed, as she could have prescribed something in the meantime. Jamie wasn’t aware that I had been waiting for her call and said she would address this with the receptionist. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed this seems to be a recurring issue. On another occasion, the receptionist told me she had left me voicemails concerning my appointment, but I hadn’t received any, even though the office has my correct number since I get texts about my medication being ready or to log into my virtual appointment.”

“I have been a patient of Dr Pamadurthi for three years. Before I found Dr P, I had seen several other Pyschiatrist’s. Between the other doctors, I had tried 14 antidepressants, and not one of them worked. On my first Appointment with Dr Pamadurthi, I felt comfortable and I also had faith that he would be the Doctor that finally found the right medicine that would work on me. He told me he would help me and I believed him. He did exactly that. The first medicine he put me on, made me feel human, finally. I still see Dr P every three months. I probably will continue to see him because I look forward to seeing him and we have developed a nice Doctor-patient friendship. I feel comfortable enough to recommend my family and friends to see him if they need to. He is top notch in his field. For me, he saved my life. Cheryl”

“Dr. Pamadurthi and his staff (Cie) are wonderful! He actually takes his time to listen to his patients. He is extremely knowledgeable about so many different medical issues. Dr. P is my "go-to" doctor because I highly respect and trust him. He goes out on a limb to figure out what the root of the problem is and works hard to solve it. Dr. Pamadurthi is the first Dr in years to actually listen (not just hear) me. He made a reccommendation for a treatment plan and he has me set up to be feeling much better soon! I've been to MANY doctors before, but none quite like Dr. Pamadurthi. He genuinely cares about his patients.! I'll leave with this....I'm pretty sure Dr. Pamadurthi has saved my life. He is the best.”
