How likely are you to recommend Rubenzahl, Knudsen & Associates Psychological Services, PC?
“I had previously left a negative review due to the difficulty of helping my husband make an appointment. I was not very happy with the front desk and how unprofessional they were. You try to request records with proper documentation and are met with just complete frustration and then having that frustration used against you like your the problem. I personally felt like it a lot of it is how fathers are treated for trying to be involved in their child’s care. Upon finally making contact with the counselor, Michelle she was very informative and helpful. Megan also helped him figure out what he needed to do in his situation to get an appointment. They provided the information he needed to be an involved parent. We hope that this is one step in a good direction.”
“In my experience, this agency’s handling of evaluations and family cases raised serious concerns. They are contracted through DSS, and in my case I witnessed what I believe were violations of disability rights, civil rights, and questionable handling of reports and diagnoses involving both parents and children. I also have concerns about the financial incentives connected to evaluations and services. Based on my documentation, the evaluation process appeared to generate significant billing and grant opportunities, and I felt there was pressure toward therapy and parenting classes with no hopes of unification, healing or genuine support. I personally observed a decline in my family’s well-being during involvement with this agency, and communication with my child was limited in ways that caused additional distress. If you are assigned to this practice through DSS, I strongly recommend requesting a different provider — preferably one without financial or contractual conflicts of interest. My experience here was extremely harmful, and families deserve transparency and support, not additional trauma. I have reported them to FBI , CIVIL RIGHTS , Americans with disabilities , HIPPA , NYS medical board and a few other agencies.”
“They have a two year waitlist to get your child evaluated and helped and they said I needed a court order to get that in writing.”
“It’s a one star because my therapist was an OK. Therapist for three years unfortunately they are unwilling to release my records due to payment plan issues. I felt A very hostile environment. The staff don’t look professional. They look like they need help themselves. I would hi Lisa just going to any other place than this where they prioritize money over their patience mental state”
