“I had been receiving psychiatric care from Dr. Patel and was stable on medications that were working for me. After I changed my primary care doctor, Crossing Healthcare informed me that Dr. Patel would no longer see me unless I agreed to have all of my medical care provided through their clinic. My appointment was canceled, future medication refills were refused, and I was not given a referral to another psychiatrist or a transition plan. This left me responsible for urgently finding a new provider who accepts Medicare before my medications run out. Patients should not be forced to choose between their preferred primary care doctor and continued access to necessary psychiatric medication. Ending established treatment without helping a patient transition safely is deeply concerning. I am not asking for special treatment. I expected basic continuity of care, a reasonable opportunity to find another provider, and respect for my right to choose my own doctor. Crossing Healthcare and Dr. Patel did not provide that.”

“Dr Patil has treated me in my darkest hours for 13 of the last 16 years. It has been a hard journey through depression, acceptance, battles my health, suicidal thoughts and self destruction to learning to cope and have self compassion. I will never forget when I needed medication especially with how far I have come now that I do not need it. A million thanks to this man for everything he helped me through. “First visit he has to emphasize his board certification? Yeah, like back in the ‘70s!! His office is antiquated. I think his methods are antiquated as well. I had to request to talk to a therapist, he didn’t offer. First appointment she texted to ask if I could come in earlier. It was a Friday afternoon. She ended up calling me on her way home. Made me feel like all she cared about was leaving work early. I wasn’t impressed by any means. He ended up ‘firing’ me from his practice for missing an appointment. That’s what he told my PMD, not me directly. I would definitely go elsewhere. Steer clear of this one.”

“Dr. Patil is the best psychiatrist I have ever been to. He takes everything extremely serious. I have told other Dr about some things I’m dealing with and it seemed like they didn’t believe me but Dr. Patil took everything I said serious. I am now one of his patients and I’m driving an hour and half to see him. Thanks Dr.”
