What patients say on Google

“It is with regret that I write this review. My spouse and I were in need of a therapist that would help us in our dilemma. I was unable to find someone at this Counseling center that would show us the equal attention that we needed. Instead, I was "labeled" quickly, maybe even too quickly, without having the opportunity to fully explain my story and how it pertained to my marriage. Don't get me wrong, my therapist is not a bad person, and is actually a good person, but I felt that my (our) experience was lack-lusting. As of right now, we are both looking for a new therapist that will help us with our situation/dilemma, and have had to resort to youtube for self-help videos. As a matter of fact, it seems that things got worse after we started therapy, as these things usually do, and in the end I spent my time and money in a not-so-wise move of coming to this particular location. We now have to do twice the work, and have to start from the beginning again. At this moment, I can only give 1 star, sorry. After sending emails to Jenna and Erin, and not receiving any response(s) for 4 weeks, I would like to say that I agree with the rest of the people reviewing this facility. It is unprofessional, doesn't care about people's real problems, and just "Pass The Buck." Now, my wife and I are going through an official divorce. I completely wasted my time and money on this place. PLEASE DON'T COME TO ROCKWALL HEALTH COUNSELING IF YOU WANT REAL HELP!!!!!!!!! If you stand by your word that you will help a client if they have a serious dilemma, then give me me a call. If not, I will contact you and let everyone know if you actually made an attempt to resolve my issue. Yes, I was seen at RHC. Don't try to get out of discrediting this bad review. I will make sure everyone knows how many dirty tricks RHC will do just to try to save face. This was a terrible move, for me to see RHC for therapy. I should have gone somewhere else as soon as I received bad treatment from our first therapist.”

“Do not recommend. Damaged our marriage more than anything. Stepped way out of line and they know it. This group should be reported but it does no good because Erin hides behind the shield of being a ‘Biblical Counselor’. Not sure which Bible she reads but it’s not the one I do. One, I suggest not disputing people’s salvation. (That’s a gift they receive and you can’t take that from them.) Second, people’s walk with Christ is their business, not yours to dispute. Lastly, don’t label men as narcissists when you have no right doing so. It’s not helpful by any means.”

“This counseling practice demonstrates an alarming lack of professionalism, empathy, and ethical standards. The individual counseling I received was ineffective and dismissive, and the marriage counseling my husband and I attended was, frankly, absurd. Rather than addressing our concerns, the counselor repeatedly shared her own marital problems and attempted to normalize behaviors that, in my view, are inappropriate and damaging within a relationship. The trauma counseling my children received from the owner, Erin, was equally troubling. She devoted the majority of the first session to discussing herself — her personal history, travels, and citizenship — rather than focusing on my children’s needs after a traumatic event. Her rapid and self-focused delivery left my children more anxious than when they arrived, which is the opposite of what a competent trauma therapist should achieve. I was shocked by Erin’s apparent disregard for client boundaries, confidentiality, and respect. She made presumptive and unfounded claims about the real reasons I sought counseling, dismissing the traumatic car accident my family survived as if she knew our experience better than we did. Even worse, I was subjected to disturbing accusations that implied potential insurance fraud — claims I consider completely baseless and inappropriate in a therapeutic context. From my perspective, this practice operates with a culture of self-importance rather than genuine client care. I am deeply concerned about possible breaches of confidentiality, as Erin gives the impression she reviews counselors’ private client notes without consent and reinterprets them to suit her own narrative. These actions, if accurate, could represent serious violations of professional ethics and legal standards, and I am actively considering formal complaints. In my view, this is not just a place to avoid — it is a practice that could cause more harm than healing. I would not recommend it to anyone under any circumstances.”

“The counselors at Rockwall Heath counseling are the most caring, trusting and professional. I felt completely open and safe to share my life and experiences in order to heal. I really wanted a place to feel heard and understood, because I have always been hesitant to go to therapy. However, the inviting kindness when you walk through the door put me at ease. The journey that I am on will take time, but I know that these counselors are worth every penny. They are truly experts in their field and I am really happy to have found such a welcoming place.”
