What patients say on Google

“First off, I was a patient here for 13 years, so this is not coming from a one and done visit. I had a lapse in my insurance from November last year to July this year. During this time I went to two appointments, both at which I stated I did not have insurance and provided my financial information. The front desk assured me that I only had a copay and collected it from me. I received a bill in the mail for full cost of both visits, over $500. At no point was I warned of self pay or the cost, or of anything wrong with their billing process. Their “business” department is laughable and explained that the insurance I told them I didn’t have was “rejected”, and this was not found out until 9 months later, as I had an appointment in November last year where they knew my insurance was running out at the end of the month. “Michelle” of that department was very rude, and after saying some very rude things to me and trying to shed blame of the situation on their end for a “billing mistake”, proceeded to tell me “good luck finding another place to go to on short notice” after I explained I would be paying the bill and canceling any future appointments with them. These people are highly disorganized, unprofessional, rude, and incompetent, do not trust your mental health or money in their hands. I have had nothing but negative experiences with this place over the time I have been going there. This is probably the third time they’ve caught a billing mistake 6+ months after an appointment.”

“Please go anywhere else. If you use Medicaid Donaraki Center in St Joseph is SOOOO much better. This place treats you like shit. Appointments are like maybe once a month, the therapists there don't listen to you. I had a therapist here for. Little bit and she left without a warning and I was scared to get therapy for a long time after because of it. I'm at begging you boycott this place because this business absolutely sucks and doesn't see the patients as equals to them. You will come out worse than you went in, wrong diagnosis for many people. I suggested I may have a certain disorder and my therapist said this - "We can't diagnose anyone with that for awhile because we diagnosed too many people with it wrongly"... Your mental health doesn't mean shit to this place, they just want that insurance money. Shame on this business and their staff. Not to mention an older man was harassing me when I was a minor in the lobby and the front desk people just let it happen. I strongly suggest you don't take children here.”

“This place misdiagnosed me and medically gaslit me for so long, trying to tell me I had a mental disease when it was in fact a physical one. They did not listen to me, they left me in pain, and they ruined my body with a variety of very serious medications they ran through me which messed up my body. It wasn't until one day I was in so much pain, I couldn't even drive to my appointment, I called to explain this to them. The way they didn't seem to care about how sick I was, was very alarming to me, and caused me to seek a second opinion. It turns out I had a physical ailment, not mental at all, and so now I have reported their office to the state. Tread lightly going here. They will gaslight you and try to convince you, and if you say otherwise they will not listen to you. They did not care how much discomfort I was in, as long as they could bill my insurance, and collect payments on me. It scares me to think about some of these people making executive, badly informed decisions over another person's life. I had to stand up for myself and advocate for myself, otherwise it would have never ended.”

“Horrible experience i went in for a intake and they were rude to me instantly tried pushing medication on me, flat out rude. I have had previous experiences with their medication which they call "inhibitors" and they did not go well. As a matter of fact they have to have a person go there to make sure riverwood is treating you right. Well why is the court mandating riverwood if its known to be bad? I'll tell ypu why its all about ypur money they just want to make sure your treated feom whatever "illness" you have and then they throw you on and its been like this for so much more people but they dont care at ALL 20 years and its still the same”
