What patients say on Google

“Helen has truly made a positive impact on my life. From the very beginning, she created a comfortable and supportive environment where I felt heard, understood, and respected. She is compassionate, patient, and genuinely cares about her clients’ well being. What stands out most is her ability to listen without judgment while also giving thoughtful guidance that has helped me work through difficult situations and better understand myself. I always leave sessions feeling calmer, more focused, and encouraged. Helen is not only an excellent therapist, but also someone who makes you feel valued as a person. I’m very grateful for her support and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable therapist.”

“This one-star review is specifically for the front desk/reception staff. My actual provider has been wonderful, and I have no complaints regarding the care I’ve received from him. I had a very unsettling interaction with the receptionist staff yesterday (7/13) while trying to schedule an appointment for a medication refill. This is a medication I need to take daily, and I explained that I will be running out within the next three days. I was informed that my provider does not have any available appointments until August. I explained that I could not wait several weeks without my medication and needed to be seen sooner in order to receive a refill. The response I received from the receptionist was, “Too bad, that’s all we have. You can go on a waitlist.” I was honestly shocked by the lack of urgency, empathy, and professionalism in that response. This is not a situation where someone is simply trying to schedule a routine appointment — this was regarding an essential daily medication that I cannot safely go without. Unfortunately, this is not my first negative experience with the front desk staff. Since day one, phone interactions have consistently felt rude, dismissive, and lacking in basic compassion. When I was first referred to this practice, I was told by others that this was “just how they are,” but I never expected that attitude to extend to situations involving necessary psychiatric medication. Considering this is a psychiatry practice, I would hope the front desk team would have a better understanding of the importance of timely access to mental health care and medications. My provider has been great, but the front desk experience has been extremely disappointing and needs improvement.”

“To the attention of Igor and the management of this clinic: I want to apologize in advance for giving this clinic a one-star review, because the psychiatrists and every doctor I’ve dealt with here are truly excellent. The doctors and medical staff are fantastic, and they deserve much better than this rating. Unfortunately, the front desk is a completely different story. I referred a client who urgently needed psychiatric help. She has C-PTSD and had just arrived in the country. I gave her the clinic’s phone number so she could schedule an appointment herself. Instead of receiving help, the Russian-speaking receptionist reduced her to tears. Sadly, I have experienced the same treatment myself. Instead of listening, she acts like she knows everything and raises her voice. Because she doesn’t actually listen to people, she ends up giving incorrect information. I truly believe such a rude, incompetent, and unprofessional employee should not be working at the front desk. The receptionist is the face of the clinic, and she is causing this wonderful clinic and its excellent doctors to lose patients—people who genuinely need quality psychiatric care. I sincerely hope you take this seriously and address this issue. Your doctors deserve much better representation, and your patients deserve to be treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism from the very first phone call.”

“I had a deeply disappointing experience with this practice and will not be returning. I arrived approximately 13 minutes late because of a bus delay. I understand that medical offices may need to enforce late-arrival policies. However, I could not find a written late policy in the intake documents I signed or on the practice’s website. I was offered a virtual appointment instead, but I was still on a public bus and was not comfortable discussing private mental-health concerns in that setting. I had scheduled the appointment for medication management related to Lexapro. When I asked reasonable questions about why a urine sample was being requested, I expected a clear and respectful explanation. Instead, I felt dismissed and spoken to in an unprofessional manner. I was told that I was “in denial,” which felt inappropriate, judgmental, and unrelated to the questions I was asking. People seeking mental-health care are often already in a vulnerable position. They deserve professionalism, patience, transparency, and basic respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with this practice”
