How likely are you to recommend Restoration Psychiatry?
“Caution: if you choose this practice, expect to communicate via email so make sure the intake person spells your name/email correctly! Don't expect a phone call if there's a problem. I have serious concerns about their billing practices and patient care. The office communicates almost exclusively by email, including reminders, refills, questions about care. This can be difficult for those of us who rarely check home email. Someone initially misspelled my name, thus sending paperwork/reminders to an unknown email address. After I finally resolved that mystery, I reluctantly gave them my work email which is closely monitored each day when I'm at work (even though I preferred to keep my medical information private). Despite this, they continued to send reminders and other communication to my home email (with the exception of refill communication which worked seamlessly for years). I was unexpectedly dismissed from care because I accidentally missed 2 appointments (never seeing reminders sent to the mostly ignored home email address). Although I am consistently a compliant patient who pays in full at every time of service, when I called to apologize and reschedule, I was told they had sent a letter to me explaining why they were firing me as a patient. When I found the letter (sent to the old email address), it was addressed to the wrong patient!! Then I discovered they charged me $100 for a no-show fee on my high interest credit card, rather than on my HSA card they're supposed to use! I'll be trying to get that charge moved to the correct card. Although Rinda was kind during appointments, I question her practice of quickly abandoning a patient for a couple of missed appointments rather than trying to work through the problem with them. As a clinician, she knows ADHD core symptoms (difficulty planning, disorganization, distractibility, etc.) cause functional impairment. I tried to put strategies in place to prevent it from happening again, but mistakes happen. Our visits were literally less than 10 minutes long so missing an appointment should not cause significant financial loss or warrant dismissal from care. I'm very disappointed to find this faith-based mental health provider appears to care more about profit than patient care. I worked around their mistakes, but they wouldn't work with me on mine.”
“I strongly advise others to carefully reconsider before choosing this practice. This provider was previously associated with the Meier Clinic, which later filed for bankruptcy. My own experience raised serious concerns about billing practices and patient care. My dismissal from care was initially issued over an alleged unpaid balance of less than $300 — a balance that I believe should have been adjusted by insurance. Rather than working to resolve the billing issue, the practice chose to terminate care. I was later sent a revised dismissal letter that included additional claims I believe are inaccurate. The shifting explanations were deeply concerning and felt more focused on protecting the practice than addressing the situation transparently. Although Rinda was kind during appointments, I was never able to communicate with her directly through a patient portal. Instead, I was required to schedule additional paid visits for communication. This created financial strain and resulted in periods where I went without necessary medication because I could not afford multiple appointments each month. Patient care and continuity should come before profit. I do not feel that I was treated fairly or provided appropriate care. Due to these concerns, I am filing a formal complaint with the appropriate licensing board. Please do thorough research before seeking services here.”
“Restoration Psychiatry is so wonderful. They explained everything so well to me and the care was top tier. The receptionist was genuinely the kindest receptionist and very patient and calm which is much appreciated. Dr. Grant Davis was warm, welcoming, efficient, and explained each thing so well to me. Definitely feel at peace after leaving!”
“Great practice, kind people, willing to work with you on billing confusions and insurance mess. Grant has been part of my care team for my mental health meds since I was 19, knows my history, and is always open to my questions on why what works works. He's clear in how he explains the mechanisms in the medicines and forthcoming on side effects. Very welcoming even if you are purely looking for a clinical perspective on mental health care vs a religious one and accepting of people of various life paths. I've really appreciated getting to come to his new office over meier clinics, as the staff isn't pushy, they aren't dismissive of issues, and exceedingly willing to help you find a solution if you communicate an issue. So happy to be a restoration patient and looking forward to growing and getting better with them.”
